Blind Character - How can you not see the magic?

"OW!" I woke up as usual, yawned as usual, and slipped my feet into my slippers as usual.

But this time instead of my toes feeling the softness of the slipper, it whammed onto the hard ground instead. I open my eyes to see what the heck has happened, but nothing appeared in my sight. All around me is black, I can't see a thing.

Which means, I'm blind.

What's worse, is that following my big OW comes a series of trotting sounds.

"Rai, are you alright?" And my guessing was accurate. My Czech Starhoof centaur, Vjotech, went all the way up the stairs to see what happened.

"What?" The centaur looked at me, "you don't look good."

"Yes I don't." I answered him, "I'm blind."

Vjotech stuttered when he heard my answer as if a lightning bolt hit him in his bum.

"No, I AM blind. I'm not joking or anything." I sat on my bed, "must be that f*****g kraken that made my blind."

Vojtech stared into the distance to remember the battle yesterday. As a wizard, it is my job to fight of all sorts of monsters to maintain peace in the kingdom, and these monsters range from the big n' scary ogre to those little slimes that can't even fight back. 716Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡZhVZyIxc9s

And of course the range includes that kraken that hit me in the eye. Yesterday a kraken got out of the water and started attacking villagers, so I, as expected, was called by the king to defeat the kraken. As usual I was firing my best ice and frost attacks at the kraken whilst I'm riding on Vjotech's back in order to fire my spells at the creature in different directions smoothly. It all went really well, I successfully stripped the creature's HP down to 4,000 (out of it's ridiculously high 123,456,789,000) and cornered it in collaboration with some other wizards who have received the same mission.

Until it whipped out one of it's tentacles to slap us in the face. Now kraken tentacles contain a really dangerous poison, and it will disable the part of the body for a good 3 days. This on it's own does not sound so dangerous, and what makes it so dangerous is that it lowers battle stats for 2 weeks. Other wizards are lucky because the kraken made a mistake and whipped its tentacle to high, but because I was mounted on Vojtech at that time (which means I'm elevated), it slapped my right across my eyes, and as a result, I will be blind for 3 days before I can see again.716Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡrQ4tlDPhhy

"Right, so school starts an hour later." Vojtech looked at me, "looks like I will have to be your butler for the coming 3 days."

"Look like it." I yawned greatly, "so what now?"

“To save time, you need to get changed.” Vojtech bent down and fetched my school robes for me, and then got into the toilet before closing the door in order to use his magic to help me get in my uniform. He's a boy, and he ain't looking at me changing.

"Are you done?" I asked the centaur.

"All done, now it's time to hush you to school." Vojtech trotted out of the toilet and put my backpack on me before he mounts me on his back.

"So you got hit by a kraken?" My classmates all huddled around to look at my eyes. In fact, my eyes don't look different at all, but there is this one little mark beside the pupil perhaps as an indication of a poisoned eye.

"Yep, and I would say I'm screwed." I answered whilst fiddling with Vojtech's long wavy hair (he used to bite me for that but now he just got used to it and now will go all hoofs on me just to demand me to fiddle with his hair. "Well, you're lucky," one of my classmates, Maddie was scanning my timetable, "Mrs. Miller (maths teacher) is off pregnant and Mr. Acrylin (art teacher) has fallen sick so both of them are not here till Friday."

"What about wizarding philosophy?" Vojtech reminded himself of my remaining subject, "she obviously can't just go and write notes-"

"That's why you are important!" Maddie handed Vojtech my notebook and a pen, "Before she recovers her sight, you can do the work for her."

Vojtech looked at the objects and sighed.

Being blind is MUCH harder than I'd expected. For example, I can't enjoy me ho chocolate properly and I had to use a specially designed cup that allows me to drink without getting myself soaked in whatever I'm drinking. I also had to eat with someone, usually Vojtech because he follows me everywhere anyway, besides me to keep an eye on me to make sure I don't poke the piece of food in my face instead of my mouth.

And of course it's the centaur's job to keep me from bumping into all sorts of objects including the wizarding philosophy classroom door.

"So in order to prepare you for the next day, I will now get you cleaned and you can go to bed. You're now blind so we can't do fancy things just yet." He then first sent me into the bathroom and washed me by controlling balls of water using his magic, and then rubbed me dry with the magical towel, slipped me in my pajamas and made my fall asleep on my bed in 10 seconds.716Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡRUozshutgU
