Weeks ago
After a long long ride in her auntie's car. She was finally here, gawking at how big the school was. Welsh High school, a private hidden school that's not very well known and that is also very cheap that has scholarship which, of course, she gladly took and now she's here. Lost in a thought, unaware of her surrounding, until a little boy grabbed the hem of her shirt which made her come back to reality.
Looking back at the boy she saw how the boy's eyes were teary, she smiled at the little boy whose age is about 6. She carried the little boy in her arms, holding him so preciously, patting his back, trying to calm the little boy that was crying in her arms, telling her things like:
"Terie, Do you really have to go?"
"Can't you just stay?"
"You're going to leave me."
"I don't want to be alone"
Truly, she doesn't wanna leave him just as much as he doesn't want her to leave however she needs to leave, to study.
"Sweetie, I'm not gonna leave you all alone. I'm going to come back as soon as I'm finish studying and you're not alone. There's auntie Joanne. "
She said while pointing to the woman that was carrying her packages.
"Do not think of such things. Okay?"
The boy nodded, sadness was still visible in his eyes
"I love you so much. Now enough with the drama. Let's help auntie Joanne."
She said to the boy with a smile and they both went to her auntie. She told the little boy to stay in her auntie's car and behave while she helps her Auntie Joanne with her stuff. She ran to her auntie that was carrying lots of her packages and she took some of her packages in her auntie's arm and they both moseyed to her dorm.
Her auntie Joanne is the kindest person she has ever known in her whole life. She took care of the girl and even supported her with many things. Her auntie is also the one that push the idea that she should go to school for she saw how much the girl was happy when she was in school
Terie, was about to become a sophomore when she dropout. The girl did enjoyed going to school, she doesn't have lots of friends but going to school made her feel like she was just a teenager, enjoying her teenage life. And Terie was a wise girl. She was always on top but being wise doesn't just apply on school. It applies in real life.
And she saw how much it was making things harder for them, for her. Her auntie was working 3 jobs and she was just studying, enjoying her life. And so she dropout and starts working her butt off day and night. Feeding them and letting them experience a good rest and good food.
And her auntie saw how worn out the girl was. She pitied the girl and so she told the girl to study. And of course that girl said no. She saw how she became such heavy burden to her auntie but her auntie insisted. She told the girl to study, nonstop, to find a cheap school and finally the girl said "okay" for a specific reason.
And with that they ended up finding this school. After a few minutes, they were finally done. Her auntie sat down inside the small dorm while Terie went back to her auntie's car to call the boy. She moseyed to the car and she opened the car, only to find no one. The AC was still on but there was no sign of the boy.
She looked around the parking lot, searched for the little boy but there was no little boy. She ran back to her dorm, thinking maybe the boy went to her dorm. She was huffing, she was panicking. When she arrived to her small dorm. There was no little boy. Her auntie was looking at her with furrowed brows, wrinkles forming on her forehead.
"Why do you look like that? what happened?"
"Jeremy. Have you seen him? Is he here?"
Her auntie shook her head. She was tired from all the carrying and now her little boy's gone missing. How can fate be so cruel to her. She ran back to the parking lot, she heard her auntie's shouts at her, asking her what's the problem but she paid no attention to her.
She felt as if the place became so much bigger, like she was an ant compared to the school, searching for her food. She ran out of the parking lot. She was gasping for air but her feet did not stop running. Her feet took her to the school yard and there she saw a man, walking with a little boy
She run to the man and relief washes all over her body when she recognize the face of the boy. She falls to her knees and pulls him to her arms then she checks the boy's body to see if he's injured for she knows how clumsy he could be and indeed she was right for she saw scrapes to the boy's knees.
"Didn't I tell you to behave in the car? Now, look at your knees. How did you even get here?"
The girl has so many questions for the little boy, scolding him for his reckless behavior, concerned about what had happen to him, without even noticing that a pair of eyes were fixed at her. She completely forgot the man that was beside the little boy.
"I just wanted to play."
The boy said to her, his hands were fidgeting which made the girl sigh. She pats the boy's head and she told him that don't ever do it again which the boy answered with a nod and that's where she finally noticed the guy.
She looked up to see pair of beautiful grey eyes staring at her ocean eyes. And at that moment, she lost herself in his eyes.
'Such beautiful eyes'
She thought.
Then suddenly she realized that she was kneeling down while awkwardly staring at him so ever so quickly she got up and said to him.
"Oh my! I'm so sorry. I didn't notice you. Thank you so much for finding him"
She bowed down and then again she suddenly noticed how it was getting dark which is bad because both her auntie and Jeremy needed to go back home.
"I'm really sorry but we really need to go. Really, thank you. Goodbye."
And with that she took the boy up in her arms and they walked off. The guy was just staring at the back of the girl, amused. When she and Jeremy got back at the parking lot, she saw her auntie, outside the car. They moseyed to her and her auntie quickly went to them, asking:
"What happened? What is that on your knees"
The girl told her what had happen and when her auntie finally calmed down. They went inside her dorm for a little while then after resting, the girl walked them back to the car. Finally saying their farewells, she kissed little Jeremy, telling that she'll come back soon and that she loves him.
The little boy told her that he loves her too and Auntie Joanne talked to her nephew about things like: Call her and things like that. She smiled at them once more and then they got in the car and drove off. She waved at the car, seeing her little boy waving back at her at the back window of the car. She stood there for a while until her auntie's car was gone in sight.
She went back to her dorm, her dorm was a mess but she paid no attention to the mess for she was too tired. Lots of things happened today. Her worries about today is enough, she'll clean this tomorrow since she has lots of time.
