Arriving at the Brimstar Manor as instructed by the fourth family's head of affairs. Alina and I were joined at the hip since the ritual rebirth. Neither of us knew why they had sent us here but orders are something you can't debate or negotiate with. We had no idea we would be under the care of half-blooded either but the stories we heard about Brimstar were worrying at the least. Alina had trouble adjusting to new people outside of our house. But I guess that was just her personality she didn't warm up to people easily. But maybe she would grow out of that as we spend time here with others.

The outside could use some work certainly but when we stepped inside the decor was immaculate in every way. Sure the head houses had the finest for decor and luxury but this Manor had little budget to work with from what I had heard. Lost in the decor I had not heard her footsteps but her voice carried with such command. We both ended up jumping in sync with the words of the startling voice. She spoke so calmly and soft but her voice had such command inside of it I was in awe truly. We learned that she was named L which I know Alina would try to discover the why at some point. Our arrival wasn't announced to L but I had our letter thankfully. She was agitated for this sudden change but it didn't affect her conduct towards us, she must not have good standing in politics. She asked questions as we traveled through the various places in the Manor. Every time she asked Alina a question I tried to answer only to be shut down. I didn't think Alina would answer a stranger but to my surprise, she had no issue giving a response. Soon we had arrived at the room assigned to us and before L departed she told us dinner was in forty minutes.

She was nicer than most of the monarchs or elders I met, even from my own house. I didn't know if she was really among those ranks but she had the presence of one. After a few moments, I and Alina got to unpack and organize ourselves in the new room. Alina enjoyed the view we had which I couldn't blame her. That garden was amazing Such care must have gone into it. Once everything was settled we both decided to head down to dinner and meet the other occupant's here. After entering the dining hall Alina and I sat close to each other but the dining hall was empty. But we both heard the elevated voices out the side entrance of this room. Some live triangles had arisen between some of the residences. For the most part, I understood the gist of what was transpiring outside. As more voices joined in the conversations a particular comment caught my attention, "You truly have no idea how terrifying L can be when angry.". I wasn't often afraid of one's words but that held enough conviction in it to convince me, was L truly scary outside of her controlled state.

Before I could dwell on this everyone began to enter the dining hall. I am sure Alina felt the tension in the room much like I did. It felt like we had entered a room full of predators and every eye was on us as prey. One of the males addressed us in passing but they held a conversation amongst themselves regarding us. This did irritate me a bit as I didn't like being overlooked while I am right here. I thought this was everyone but the last one had arrived late drawing me from my thoughts once more. He addressed us both in a vile and repulsive way that nearly made me sick to hear. But I saw his eyes he wasn't looking at us as sexual objects he was like the others with a predatory look.

I couldn't tell just how dangerous he was but Alina was hasty to react. He was in our personal space which was enough to warrant a response from Alina. I won't deny my power was bubbling inside of me and the tension in the room became that much thicker. Luckily L had arrived silencing everyone in the place with that calm command. She particularly addressed Corvis Violia and Ramira by way of reprimand but I felt we hadn't been excusable so we both made our apologies. L made a round of introductions for everyone and explained the situation and soon it felt like we had been welcomed like family. No longer did they had such predatory gazes upon us which was nice, Alina took to the other siblings across from us. We didn't have a brother like a figure since it was always just us but to see other siblings made us more comfortable.

The food L produced was supposedly just blood but she made actual food. I do not know how she made something have a flavor, especially with blood. But she made me happy to have a different taste while enjoying a meal. Later L explained that the food was a way to bolster our power and connection with it, she didn't reveal much else outside of that. After dinner was done we greeted everyone again and spoke at length for a little longer before L called for bedtime. Before settling in for the night I and Alina decide to take turns brushing each other's hair and speak on the residents here. We ended up agreeing that Chase and Maice were our favorites so far but that was because of the sibling bond we both had. When I asked Alina how she felt about L she didn't respond at first but when she found an answer I didn't expect that... She's like a mother but nicer such a response brought a smile to my lips because she was right
