Tyson Reese
Tyson waits on the corner of Avlale and Vrin, shivering and bundled up. He huffs out a cold fog of breath. After an hour and 30 minutes of waiting in the December weather, a pink and black charger pulls up in front of Tyson. Tyson looks from left to right then gets in the Charger. The Charger pulls off into the night. Tyson greets the driver, “Hey bud. How’s it going?”
The female driver does not look at Tyson but answers, “it’s going. What you call me for?” She tucks a loose strand of light golden brown hair behind her ear.
Tyson blinks at the bluntness of the female then puts a smile on his face. “That stuff, that new stuff you were telling me about a few nights ago.”
The female chuckles then the chuckle turns into a heartily laugh as she turns down a well-lit road; not really going anywhere specific. “She must have left yo’ conniving ass.” Her laughter dies down as they stop at a stop light.
Tyson doesn’t answer but ponders how she figured that out so easily. Was he that predictable? Maybe so. Tyson chuckles, “Naw,” he lies or gets one going. “She wanted to try it too. So, I promised her that I would see about it.”
The female’s face straightens up and eyes Tyson, “You were always a bad liar. Could never tell the truth when you are hurt to save your life, Tyson.” She shakes her head.
Tyson frowns at the fact that she did not go for his lie. That however is beside the point, he needed this BAD. “Come on, Sabrael. I need this, please.” He begs her through gritted teeth and his patience wearing thin.
Sabrael shakes her head again, “What has happened to you, Tyson? This drug is nothing to play with. It wil---.”
Tyson cuts her off angrily and his patience hardly hanging on, “I don’t fucking care what it will do. I just want the new stuff.” He tries very hard not to yell. “This is my fucking life and if I want to fuck it up then let ME fuck it up. Let me be the one to do that.”
Sabrael blinks really disappointed in what Tyson has become when it comes to heart break and hurt. Sabrael actually thought Tyson had become a much better person. Since his father basically handed Tyson the computer corporation when Tyson graduated from college. Tyson cleaned up his act and dove right into the business.
Sabrael fishes the small vial containing a dark yellow liquid in it. She dangles it in Tyson’s face. “This is some powerful stuff. I really don’t want you to---.” Her speech is then interrupted again but by Tyson quickly snatching the vial and throwing a thousand dollars in her lap.
Sabrael looks wide eyed as Tyson rolls out of the car, runs like a madman across the highway, dodging cars then disappearing over a wall. Horrified at the blackness in his eyes, Sabrael sighs while the light turns green and pulls off before the cars behind her start honking.
