"Sorry I'm late," Cardamon looked up from her coffee, at her friend Bergamot, as he sat in the empty chair across from her. "Perkins escaped from her enclosure again, and almost ate Gherkins." He explained, and she nodded, reaching into her bag, and pulling out some papers, sliding them across the table. Bergamot picked up one of the papers, reading it.210Please respect copyright.PENANAlzmCICW82J
"...What's this?" He asked, and Cardamon took a deep breath.
"It's a job offer. I know you've been looking for work, and there's an opening at my job." She said, watching Bergamot pick up another piece of paper. "I know how you're always looking for inspiration for your children's books, and being a suit performer for Humphrey will provide plenty of that." He nodded, prompting her to continue.
"Plus," She added, watching him for a reaction. "There are great benefits! Long breaks, good insurance, and," Cardamom paused. "Our suits have been revamped with new technology, so that overheating is no longer a problem, so..." He put the paper down, meeting her gaze. "...Are you in?" She asked.210Please respect copyright.PENANANsjbJS9Av5
"I just have one question," He started. "I have to plan a birthday party for my niece, Burnet, in a couple of months, and she loves Humphrey. Nothing would make her happier than learning that Humphrey's coming to her party..." Cardamon nodded.
"If you need a second party planner, you can always call me." Bergamot smiled, at the answer, producing a pen from somewhere.
"Then you've got a deal." He said, signing the paper, and handing it to her.
