“Pain. So much pains… “ Luka was currently on the floor holding his stomach, he felt a heavy flurry of weakness, lightheadedness, and felt moments away from fainting. His heartbeat is fast, his breathing is fast, his skin feels like its going pale, and he can’t stop sweating.
“Isaac! What the hell is wrong with you?!”
“What? You’re tellin’ me when you get bumped and someone’s bigger than you you’re just gonna be sitting around letting them do what they want?”

“Okay? So is Valk and she eats these hits for fun.”

“BLAAAAAH!”

“AH MAN COME ON!”
“SEE WHAT I’M SAYING!!” After a pretty needed clean up Luka was being tended to by another member of the team. He sat beside Luka and let him rest on his bed.
“How are you feeling?”
“Like crap… ”
“Be proud of yourself, few people still feel after Isaac kicks. You’ve got great potential to work well with us.”
“Quit being an ass Isaac!”
“Whatever Karli get off of my back.” Luka groaned a bit as he coughed.
“Here. It’ll fix you right up.” The boy handed Luka a small pill, sitting him up he gave him the pill and Luka felt a surge of pain causing him to fall back and cough before it all left immediately.
“BLAH! WHAT WAS THAT?!”
“Was it painful? Unfortunate I think I gave you the wrong one, it still aided you but it wasn’t supposed to be painful. Must’ve been Isaac’s amp pill. Unfortunate but you did great. My name is Cassian, it’s a pleasure to meet you Luka-aaauggh.”
“Ha… Yeah ha that wasn’t my best introduction.”
“You’ve had other introductions with you being kicked in the stomach?”
“No no that’s not what I mean- WAIT WHEN DID YOU EVEN GET HERE?” Luka jumped back and almost fell off the bed but Valk grabbed him by his shirt pulling him face to face with her. Smiling and cheesing.
“Sup! My name is Valk Abelone Valeriana but you will address me by my proper name! Queen Thunder Thighs!”
“I- I don’t really… That’s not a good term to address women by-”
“Hehehehehehehehehehe!”
“Outside Valk.”
“Okay!” Valk jumps off the bed and hoists Luka onto her shoulder running over and opening the window.
“Wait!! We’re on the fifth story!!”
“No problem!”
“Stairs Valk stairs!!”
“Whaaa?! But that’s so long taking! Plus the elevator takes even longeeerrr.”
“Either he gets down safely and to his durability or you don’t get to show him now.” Cassian says to her with his arms folded his book in one hand. He kept reading as Valk groaned and put Luka down, closing the windows and huffing.

“That’s why I said get away from the window.”

Luka didn’t really know how to process all those different assessments of him but he knew two things. One, they fit the people that said them. Two, he could’ve swore-
“I was asking Luka how he feels about you four, not the other way around.” Yup.
“Well. I think they’ll be helpful, if I don’t get well unalived by them first.”
“HUUUH?! Whaaaaaaa?! Luka we almost jumped out of a window together I would NEEEVER put you at risk.”
“This… This is exactly why.” Cassian held the bridge of his nose and let out a sigh.
“Well that's good, you were the frail friend of the two. Plus you said you’d be greater than me, so this is the start to that.”
“Wait, you said that?!”
“Oh wow, you’ve got a lot of ambition don’t you.”
“Oh! So it wasn’t actually your friend but it was you barkin’ the loudest huh?!”
“I’ll make sure you survive to see that through.”
Luka could feel the four of them surrounding him, it was definitely scaring him a bit. Seventeen years old and these people made him feel like he was in a room with criminals. Like come on Cassian is too calm for ALL of this happening so rapidly.
“Well as you will soon see.” Leaning forward John would call down.

“Cutie sweetie! Bring it up.” A low whirring sound would be heard before a floating car would rise up to their window and inside a TV was playing a broadcast from Salomon.
“Students of Virtuoso Academy, today may not be what you’re expecting and that’s exactly what you should expect being here. Most schools often let their students rest in their rooms on their very first day, relax with their friends, and learn a thing or two together. Not us, most definitely not! We do what we do to improve the future of all Ark users. As you all know, not too long ago. Which is why we train you all as hard as possible, for as a society we mistake peace for quiet. We aren’t in a time of peace but a time of quiet.”

Luka’s head throbbed for a second, he was seeing from an angle. John was looking at the screen intently.. Like he’d seen something no one else had. Someone was there, he was looking directly at them staring nice and hard. He then proceeds to lean back and smile looking over at them, he’d proceed to stretch and look back at his team with a smile.
“Welp everyone, come on. We’ve got things to do, which is us getting to the place on time, hop on in.”
Jumping off the window he dove into the car and sat down, on the seats towards the front of the car. Isaac hopped through the window and sat down on the seats towards the back. Karli followed and so did Cassian. Luka looked towards the car in fear, the gap wasn’t massive but still a gap nonetheless.

“....I’m not jumping that.”
“Okay okay come here! I’ll catch ya.”
“Okay.” Luka would take a deep breath stepping over shivering in fear, his knees got weak, his legs wobbled. He couldn’t-

“No rush man.” Luka nodded and jumped out towards Valk, then watched her put her arms behind her back and step aside.
“No… She did not.” Luka wanted to panic but he came crashing into the car rolling and hitting the other door. Coughing as the doors closed and they all began to fly off laughing and joking.
