For me, it’s a bit of a yes and no situation. Plastics are a byproduct of petroleum and do make our lives easier in many ways. While there might be better energy sources than petroleum, it’s what we currently rely on, so we need to find effective ways to recycle byproducts like plastics. I believe the focus should be on improving recycling methods, especially in countries like America, where a lot of plastics end up mixed with regular trash and buried in landfills.
