Slowly rising to your feet you walk forward, hoping to reach the wall, but you just keep heading forwards quietly–just in case someone else was in here with you–. It must be a corridor… you guess, finally feeling your palm lay flat on the crusted peeling wallpaper of the wall. You look up. There seemed to be a light dangling from the ceiling; one of those ones that you need to pull.
You gently yank at the string and the light miraculously beams up. Three doors blocked your path:
A rusty silver one, similar to a prison door it looked intimidating and heavy. The smell coming from it was no where from roses either. A strong, oxidising scent whafted through your nostrils, burning them and brimming your eyes with tears as it glided through the air.
Then a decaying oak…? You don’t know, it was way too moss-covered and chunks fell off due to the decay. Whatever it was, it was surely raw wood. Like a cabin door. The smell seeping out this time wasn’t as horrid, but it was subtle and when mixed with the horridness of the previous door, the pine was nearly invisible.
Lastly, is this even a door?!? You exclaimed internally. There was a rectangular shape cut out from the wallpaper to reveal a brick door. You supposed it was a door considering the golden knob that pasted itself on the left side of it. There was no smell coming out from this one and the door looked almost as if brand new if it weren’t for the fading red colour from the bricks.
You groaned, wanting to explore the house more, you turned but all there was of that dark hallway was now closed off. You cursed, refraining from freaking out as you turned to the doors. Looks like you had to go through one if you wanted to escape.
So, which do you choose?
