It was dark now.
'Are you seeing anyone?', Brodie asked.
'No. There was Dianne Parker. She was the first girl I kissed at school. But she went away because she went to Dorothy's Private Boarding School when she was thirteen. Her parents were strict, and they didn't want their daughter to be a lesbian. Being in love with the same sex didn't compute with them. They were old fashioned. But she was free as a bird. I wasn't attracted to boys when I was in school', Madeline answered.
'I wasn't as well. The Commune is a place for all of us to go to', Brodie said.
'Would you like dinner with me, Brodie?', Madeline asked her.
'Yes, I'd love to', Brodie answered.
And she kissed her.

Madeline watched the ladies, and men.
They were smoking dope, and relaxing.
The psychedelic music of Jefferson Airplane was playing on the record player. Posters of The Doors, the Beatles, and Janis Joplin, hung on the walls. The song 'Somebody to love' was heard.
Madeline smoked as she kissed Brodie.
The essence of herbs and other fragrances, filled the spacious room. As darkness came towards them, and it was teeming down with rain.
