"Forget It"

First month,

Twenty-Ninth moon...

That poem is soon due.

The one I never wrote.

Such a shame.

I had weeks.

And nothing to show for it.

An hour and a half.

What will I write??

A part of me says,

"Forget It."

And yet...

Here I am,

proving myself wrong.

(That's not to say

I'm some breed of poet,

nor that this is

some specie of verse.)

Just the latest concoction

of a verbal scientist

probing the reaches

of a paper universe.

Where will it take us?

What will it do?...

...That poem is soon due.

I guess this'll do.
