With the guidance of Eldor and the encouragement of his new friends, Thistle set off towards the Cave of Echoes. The moonlight lit his path, casting eerie shadows as he made his way through the forest. He reached the cave entrance, a dark maw in the side of a rocky hill, and took a deep breath before stepping inside.
The cave was cold and damp, and the sound of dripping water echoed through the tunnels. Thistle navigated the twisting paths, relying on his keen senses to guide him. As he ventured deeper, strange whispers filled the air, trying to lead him astray.
"Stay focused," he reminded himself, pressing forward with determination.
Finally, he reached the heart of the cave, where the Moonstone lay on a pedestal, glowing with an otherworldly light. But as Thistle approached, an illusionary wall of flames sprang up around the stone. He paused, closing his eyes to block out the illusion and relying on his sense of smell to guide him through the false barrier.
When he opened his eyes again, he was standing before the Moonstone, its light reflecting in his wide eyes. With a quick, confident motion, he grabbed the stone and made his way back out of the cave, the whispers fading behind him.
