Cliques aren't like you see in the movies, don't get worried.
But just because they aren't that visible doesn't mean they aren't there.
Cliques aren't shown so much as felt. You can sense who's a jock versus who's a nerd, who's a teacher's pet or a popular versus who's a loner. (I feel a lot like a combination between a nerd and a loner.) If you try to join a clique, don't. You might get in, but there will always be inside jokes you aren't a part of, and it may seem like your torn between your old friends and your new ones. It's confusing, it's frustrating, and it's more than anyone really needs to worry about.
Join a clique and be prepared for the work to seem to triple as you spend more time hanging out than studying.
