World War left this world devastated and with many anomalies, one of those were The Radioactives, the beings who emitted radioactive radiation. They were once living animals but now they have morphed into these un-natural slowly decaying heinous creatures who are fierce, feral, and all-consuming by nature. Rarely found, but there were also Radioactive Humans, who were just like these feral animals or worse, and didn't possess the consciousness they once had. Exposure to these Radioactive beings could cause 'Radioactive Sickness', the slow/fast decaying of the body from the inside which can eventually cause death if not medicated on time. These beings would attack any normal living creature they get their sight onto, they try and wrap themselves around their victim as if to become one with them. Some say that the radioactivity in their body is so excruciatingly painful as it decays their cells very slowly at the atomic level that they want to 'share' it (radioactivity) with others to ease off their pain. They keep themselves wrapped around their dead victim's body until its decayed, full of radioactivity, and cannot take anymore. Generally, All these beings showed a bearable amount of radioactivity, so direct or brief exposure to them didn't cause any deaths (unless they are wrapped around you for hours) but proper medication was needed after exposure to weed out any side effects. Normally, Frontline Watchers who trained to be more resistant to exposure were the only ones exposed, when they are outside the wall on recon, search, salvage, or any other mission. Normal humans rarely came in contact with them once the walls were built. There were also shreds of evidence, folklores to be more specific, about some really powerful Human radioactives, direct/brief exposure to whom caused instant death, though, there was no watcher alive, who confronted them, to confirm this or even their existence. The popular belief among people was - "When on a mission there is always a chance of personnel loss, this cannot always be attributed to some old myth of powerful radioactives, who fly around with their voodoo doll to deliver instant deaths and vanish back into their rabbit hole". People think that its a farce of Gods mercy to keep all of them in line with fear and inside these walls. Gods mercy and The Watchers of God had always officially maintained that it was specifically, to keep them out, the walls were built. How? When?...they don't say
