Riley walked down the sidewalk, her hand in Doswic's. She had recovered greatly since her run away. Doswic's father had treated them nicely, never asking questions, and providing what they needed. Today was a good day, the simulation had chosen sunny weather. she was happy. They sat down on a bench near their district park. Riley looked around and saw someone interesting walking through the grassy field. It was a girl, she had digitigrade legs, floofy brown hair, and two pointy ears coming from under the hair. Doswic followed her staring and saw the unusual person. "You wanna go talk to her?" Doswic said. Riley and himself had always been interested in physically altered people. Riley vigorously nodded. "Alright then, let's go." Doswic stood up and walked up to the girl. Riley was following close behind. "Hey, this is my girlfriend, Riley, she loves augmented people such as yourself, Do you mind if we ask you a few questions?" Autumn looked up at them and studied them carefully. They weren't carrying any weapons as far as she could tell. "that depends on what they are, and for what reason." She said looking at them skeptically. Doswic chuckled a bit. "just some questions about your augmentations. and don't worry, it's just for personal curiosity." Autumn raised an eyebrow under her mask.
"Alright then ask away." She said switching her gaze between them to make sure they didn't pull anything. Doswic pulled out his phone and pulled up his questions. "aight, Why'd you get your augmentations?" He asked looking up at her.
"Efficiency. plus it looks cool." Autumn said.
"Alright," He typed in the answer. "And are you satisfied with them?"
"Very much so." Autumn seemed happy. she had always been proud of her animalistic modifications.
"Ok," he typed again. "And finally-" Doswic was cut off by a loud *BOOM* and he ducked, pulling Riley down with him, "we need to get out of here," he said to her and tried to make a run for his car. suddenly and without warning, there was a spray of bright red bolts of energy, Doswics car's power cells were overloaded and his carr exploded in vibrant red flame. "What the hell?" Riley screamed. Autumn growled, drew her own weapon and charged into the fray.
