My black, curly hair fell down my shoulders. My mom looked at the pamphlet for the next session of summercamp. I couldn't wait for summer. Green trees on leaves, the bright sun soaking the grassy landscape. 114Please respect copyright.PENANAhCZzrVot4V
"Look, we're visiting our grandparents between the 1st and the 12th, so we can't go to the first two sessions. We can try to go on the third session, or you can always go to that science camp you usually like. What do you think?" I considered it for a moment. "I can't even go for part of a session?" Mom nodded no. "It's not worth it."
"Fine, I can just go to that science camp." I sigh for a moment, but it wasn't worth pouting over. Sure, I might miss the fun baking, or the sports, or all the other things I could do. I'll miss sitting on the middle backseat of the bus that all the kids would desperately run to the second they entered the bus. For a second, I imagined my friend. The one who always was with me, who would share different activities with me. The one who would always forget my name(besides last year) but always was excited to see me. I would miss her.
Maybe next year, I thought to myself, I'll see her again.114Please respect copyright.PENANAKZQkjkqYd8
