in an instant her heart dropped and her arms wrapped around his body. he sunk into the hug for a brief moment and then took her shoulders to gently detach her. he kept his hands there as she looks up at him.

he's lost. lost in his mind again. it's rare but it's happened before. he's staring at her. not her eyes. anything but. his eyes are on her mouth briefly, then they glance past her chin, down her neck to her collarbone. where yet again his eyes catch the gold chain of her necklace, one hand slips off her shoulder and his knuckles graze her collarbone. he's in a trance and her breath is literally no where to be found. her necklace ends up in his hand. his other hand creeps up to caress her neck slightly. all she feels is his gentle fingertips tickling her neck and her eyes close for a second. she opens them to see him staring right back at her. one hand still wrapped around her necklace and the other now cradling the back of her neck. something in his eyes are different. he looks broken but dangerous. now she feels in a trance. in a flash his lips were on hers. he was hungry, ferocious. he had been starved. but so had she.
