Things just got more exciting as my first kill was printed in the morning newspaper. "A stage-worker strangled and scalped on stage of the Royal Opera House!" Called the headlines with a wonderful picture showing how the police are lost and sadly the body wrapped in a black bag on the floor. I tried to make it appear like Phantom of the Opera style by strangling the stage-worker with the ropes near by and cutting off the skin with a scalpel one half of the victim's face. Done with gloved hands and a mask in case someone saw-
"I can't believe you have the stomach to read this, Fiona."
I gasped surprised as I saw Kelly standing beside me. "I-I" I stuttered away in fear of that my action will be known now. "It-it's so terrifying that I wanted to look away but I couldn't." I lied.
"Right? That's exactly how I reacted as I read the first few sentences." She assured with a friendly smile and walked over to her desk where her phone was ringing for the first few moments.
She didn't suspect me at all? Anyway I should keep a sharp eye and ear in the future. I removed the newspaper aside, checked my emails and started working as usual with a cup of matcha green tea. It was boring but kept myself composed with a usual grin and waited until it was time to leave. Eager to plan further details for my next kill. Like the last and first time, I'll take the unfortunate victim that will pass near by. Catch them sort of in a mouse trap. Strangulation will not be my favourite method, perhaps something with blood will be more to my liking besides the careful observation and planning. The cutting was exciting, perhaps I'll try it again with the scalpel? Sounds similar like 'Jack the Ripper' but he/she got away with it. I'd like to try something different than the last, something more with like Dracula did, impaling; since I've done so many researches about that guy in history down to the mythology with vampires. Then again how can I impale a person in a city in the middle of the night? Well, I could kidnap the person and then bring them to the forest or open field or use a different method from Dracula. Nah, I'll stick with impaling and not just one but three. Imagine the first person to see it in the morning as the sun rises, what picture. Three wooden poles with three people impaled in outstretched or cowering position, blood gently streaming down along the structure of the wood down to the ground. The slow painful death those people will feel before dying. Struggling vainfully with their last strength to live on, to avoid their greatest fear, death. This is too good I can't wait to get started.
I almost spitted out a mouthful of my morning matcha green tea of positive surprise as I read the today's newspaper. "Masked murderer impaled victims on field!" I presume the reporter himself was almost at a loss of word at the sight due to his written article. Large picture and few words. This time I couldn't resist hiding away and made my appearance. A mask concealing my entire face, shimmering and reflecting like a mirror with a wig of very short grey curls to the ears, half covered by a large black hood of the cape with black clothes and boots. Simply dressed it is hard to define whether a woman's of man's clothing plus I wore special bandages to flatten my chest. To irritate the careful observing people, if there are some in this world. I said nothing but stood in silent before vanishing out of sight. Surprisingly no one dared to stop me on the spot. They were all stricken in terror of the sight and me. One thing what caught me more attention to the article was the final sentence which was a question. Why was the murdering done? A good question but with me I think it is out of plain boredom and wanted to find something unique. I always had killing thoughts since I can remember and sometimes even dreamed them how I would have done them, without a doubt more blood was spilt there than here in reality. Plus I think I do the country a favour, I bring in more attention than before. The little country that stands in the middle of Europe, Switzerland. A sleepy country with small cities and towns. Now it will be known in history thanks to me besides the neutrality, chocolate, cheese, mountains, watches and bank accounts. Just like Jack the Ripper in London, I'll be the masked murderer in Zurich!
Now all good things come in three; where and how should be my next murder be? Impaling was fun but I'd like to try another different method, plus that would irritate the police. They have already doubts with my two murders if they are connected or not. How should this be done? What would Sherlock Holmes do? I've always been a fan of him since I've read all the cases. Would he make a murder appear like an accident instead? I guess he would and one would get easily away but I like the attention I get. Perhaps this time I'll kill someone special. Oh, what do we have here? A politician is giving a party to an opening of a new building that costed only God knows how much, actually sponsored from our own pockets but says the state paid it. I'm in the mood to go head on like V for Vendetta. Perhaps with a Guy Fawkes mask and a short dark wig to throw off the scent. Just need to practice on my fencing skills and then I'll have it. Slice the person into bits, literally. What joy; I can't wait!517Please respect copyright.PENANAglhQf4FJgP
