TV shows make the main character(s) relateable so that more people would watch. If many people are socially challenged and outcasts, how are most of the people of the world still judging people because of their beliefs? People are socially challenged because they are scared of how people would see them because of their thoughts. If you are constantly uncomfortable about expressing your thoughts because of society's views, would you want someone else to feel this way too or would you want to make sure no one has too? I would want to do the latter.
