RIN was shocked that even this "God" has some semblance of interest or is it admiration or more than that the more he thought about it the more his head grows weary or confused with his actions right now is it true that what he calls duty is why he's here now or there's something that destroys his purpose and maybe it's his mini vacation it's just so weird for someone to be so strong and admirable to be waiting for a nobody like him.
YATO on the other hand is getting a bit confused as well he said to himself it's the duty and helping the demon for whatever's coming in the near future for him but right now deliberately making efforts to do whatever he can for this one even if it endangers them right now those things confused him a bit?
Rin looked around the God's eyes has anger and a sea of sadness as if he left someone on purpose right now how the God carries him is like he's a flower or something else the fondness is there but the question is why there is like that in someone that he met before.
"Did you ever... leave someone I kind of feel it s-s-sorry for a-asking really just curious?" RIN tested while looking away.
"Did I ever yes I did actually a lot of people and friends too once you get hang of it you'll never feel anything ever again after that..." YATO trailed off while getting ready to put RIN down now.
"That's it? In your life, you never see anything before what a lame God then!" RIN said simply as that.
"IF you ever live as long as me you'll get bored easily and you'll lose sight of time plainly everything honestly that's it loneliness never fails you see!" YATO said the same practiced smile on his face again.
"I know about that a bit but not as long as you may be your life is just sad because of that same anger or something else I guess?" RIN asked softly while smiling brightly.
YATO got surprised a bit what a weird YOKAI then knowing what others feel maybe it's because of experience or just something that was even to God unknown he said to himself that anger and guilt is not a way to go around but even him knows that it's inescapable in many ways no ever just goes around without one for him honestly it's the deep loneliness and guilt build up over the years.
Then YATO is more surprised that even when this YOKAI smiled at him brightly like the sun like he's trying to give him some semblance of comfort for whatever he went through for the past 1000+ years even if he does not know the full extent of the worse lives and people he met.
RIN is sure even the loneliest person can find happiness afterward this God right here found some of it but purposely loss it so that when they die it will not be in vain and not in front of him but it does make him wonder what if he had the same power of immortality as this God is what will happen this his friends by then??
"Can you feel emotions or something or are just emotionally smart I don't know how I've said duty but there's something more..." YATO trailed off as he goes to the "center" of the school.
"It's not like that I just have a bad feeling that I've felt before when I first lose someone just like that..." RIN trailed off too while looking away ashamed.
"Huh? Never thought someone so young can lose a person I was kind of curious at you it's just weird?" YATO said curiously while giving a true smile at RIN's back.
"Well be curious then honestly I don't have anything to offer than my powers and full heritage maybe being treated like trash every time that can be worth your curiosity now!" RIN joked but there is some truth in it.
"I honestly doubt it you're more than smart enough to be supportive to me maybe there's something more to you than this am I right?" YATO said a genuine smile on his face now.
"You said it to yourself but honestly don't be bored when you find out about me even by then you might stray away from me just like everyone is!" RIN said sadly his eyes looking away.
YATO now has the same genuine smile on his face this YOKAI knows more things than any other in his life losing someone and being lonely at the same time there are some similarities for both of them but the God is more used to it than RIN has a friendly nature so it's rare that he does not have any real friends maybe because of that heritage...
RIN for all his life never had someone that cared about him this much now he remembers Shiro that man he considered as the father in his whole life he's the one that created what he is now and never once he has forsaken Shiro for what he truly is.
YATO and RIN's lives so similar yet different at the same time losing and gaining something and then losing it again afterward the hardest part about is the first time you've experienced it's like a tenfold of anger and guilt but as the God said after that you will never feel anything like that being the ones that lose so much already ya can guess the numbness of it all.
"Why would I stray away from you when you're a demon/YOKAI it's not that weird to have someone like to good!" YATO said a smile that he's been hiding for years now apparent in his face.
"W-W-Wait seriously you want to at least know me!? What is your goal here then?" RIN stuttered out.
"Damn he's adorable like this I really at lost for words now!" YATO thought while not answering the question.
"My goal huh? I never have one right now being drawn here must be one? Maybe loneliness makes you insane huh?" YATO answered softly while staring off in a distance.
"Maybe?" RIN added curiously while looking at the same distance YATO is staring at.
