I'm so glad I found this site. I always kinda wanted to be on one of these online places where I could put up my writing, since sharing with the few people in my social circle didn't feel quite comfortable yet. I think I chose the right site for that. It feels like we've got a cozy community --- not too big, you sorta "know everyone," but it feels very warm and welcoming.
For a pretty reserved person, I kinda need that.
And I know that, when I go on to actually/professionally publishing in the big ol' writing industry, I'll probably have to grow distant from this site. Move on, maybe. That's probably the better word.
Yeah, that sounds sad and bittersweet, but it's Penana that'd technically be my first giant step towards becoming a professional author. If I wanna share my work to people across the globe, I gotta get comfortable with it first --- and this is the first place that I'm doing that. It's the first place that I really feel like I'm making substantial progress.
