I stand in an empty ballroom that glitters like broken glass reflecting the sun. Not diamonds, it felt too eerie to be something of such beauty. I was older than my actual age, the dream's body about twenty-five or so. A joyful voice comes from an open door.
"Autumn! You came!" A small child is trying pounce on me, but held back by a red leash. The rope was manned by a blonde with a smile, the character that often plagued my daydreams. Always fictional and I knew that, but if I were to pick one of the five universal characters to be my friend it would be Jin. But, why was his smile sad?
"It's been a long time Autumn. Do you remember me? Of course you do." The blonde's expression never changed as he takes my hand, while the red haired girl clamps to my leg. Why was she so attached? And why were the calling me Autumn, it's not even close to Katrina.932Please respect copyright.PENANA6kfrIPt279
"You remember me, but not your child? Or your name? Hm... interesting." In my daydream's I imagined Jin's voice different... and I also knew his thoughts. It's annoying that I don't know the inner workings of his mind, since I'm usually the one making them up.
"Where are we? And why is that kid on a leash?" The walls are lined with mirrors, though they reflected everything except me. The hallways are empty, save for the occasional abstract glass statue. The blonde waves his lazily hand at the question.
"If you must know. I was baby sitting Hanako here, when I got called for a mission. I couldn't give her off to some stranger, so I put the leash on to keep her under control. As for the location, just a reception room." I stare at him, knowing full well he couldn't tell a lie.
"A reception room for what?" The air suddenly becomes much heavier and the blonde picks up his pace. As if our lives depend on it.
"The dead. Come on, we're almost there." I wrestle out of his grip and Jin tries to reach for it again. I resist and ask if I'm going to hell. To this he denies the answer.932Please respect copyright.PENANAXDgytZTLxk
"Then where?" I never got any response. I wasn't in the reception room anymore, just a black void full of nothing. And there lay my Autumn identity still and without breath. I am the nothing.
