Chapter Three
'I don't want to make you scared, but I will give you straight about Jason. His body was never found in the middle of Camp Crystal Lake. That girl, Alice, survived that Friday the 13th; she disappeared soon afterwards. And, by now, you know that we're the first to return here, after one year. And, Jason's hungry....Lurking in the woods. Some demented creature roaming the wilderness...Eager for blood'. And, as Ted yelled in his favorite Native American uniform, he grabbed a long spear in his right hand.
And then Paul smiled.
'Now that's out of your system, there's going to be no more talk about Jason. Now, hands up if any of you want to join Ginny and I at the Blues Bar tonight in town. Jeff, and Sandra have volunteered after the stunt today'. Jeff sighed. Sandra did the same.
With them was Terry, Vickie, and Scott.
And Mark.
And that left Ted to go with them.
***
Crazy Ralph heard the sound in the middle of the woods.
He was about to turn when Jason Voorhees used a garotte to kill him. 247Please respect copyright.PENANAWRItdCcTel
***
Scott was in the woods.
Terry swam in the lake.
He smiled.
'Give me back my clothes'.
He did.
Suddenly his feet was strung up by rope that surrounded by an oak tree. 'Stupid Paul. I hate this wilderness bullshit!'. 247Please respect copyright.PENANAua0xXi5Pqt
'Serves you right! Will you stop the pranks?', Terry asked him.
'Yes...anything. Just cut me down, please', Scott answered.
She walked towards the van to get a knife. As she did so, Jason Voorhees raised a machete in the air...and killed him.
***
Terry walked to the woods.
'Scott'.
When she saw his body, she screamed.
The knife came towards her.
And she died.
***
'Mark, are you alright?', Vickie asked him.
'Yes', he answered.
She kissed him.
Then, as they prepared for the date, Jason Voorhees stole Ted's spear.
***
Jeff was playing the harmonica.
As he and Sandra made out, the door opened.
The screams were heard for a long time.
***
The door opened.
'Vickie'.
Mark rode his wheelchair into the cool, night air.
He was too consumed about his date to notice the machete. He fell downstairs. And the horror of Friday the 13th was almost over.
***
Vickie opened the door.
'Jeff! Sandra!', she said.
In the bed was Jason Voorhees.
He wore a rucksack over his head.
Vickie screamed, as the knife came towards her.
***
Back in the Bar, Paul, Ginny, and Ted, ate their hamburgers, fries, and beer. 'What if there's a Jason Voorhees. He would be fully grown by now. Some kind of boy-beast roaming the woods. He was upset that his mother died at the hands of Alice Hardy; he killed her as revenge'.
'Jason's a legend, Ginny. A legend!', Paul said.
'Excuse me, but are there're any after hours' places in town?', Ted asked Marnie Fraser, pretty owner, twenty-five, '...Yes, my place. And I have the key', she answered. Ted paid for his dinner, then she and Ted waved as the band finished their set of songs, while dark, threatening, clouds were in the night sky.
And Paul and Ginny paid for their dinner, then they left the Bar.
It was a short walk to Paul's 1976 van.
And he drove back to camp.
***
At the camp, the lights were off.
The smell of drugs was in the air.
'They smoke better dope than I do', he quipped.
'Paul. They wouldn't do anything bad', Ginny said.
In the loungeroom, they saw someone.
It was Jason Voorhees.
The killer attacked Paul.
Ginny fled.
***
Ginny fled.
She couldn't believe there was a killer at the camp.
She ran to the car.
Jason Voorhees followed.
She ran through the wet woods.
The old, dilapidated shack was in the area.
Ginny opened the front door.
And, as Jason came towards her, she saw a door.
There was a shrine to Mrs. Voorhees.
She put on a blue colored sweater.
Jason came towards her.
'Jason. Mother is talking to you. That's a good boy'.
He saw the image of his dead mother.
He was floundering.
In a matter of seconds, Paul shouted: 'GINNY!!!'.
Ginny grabbed a machete.
And brought it downward...
***
Paul took off the potato sack.
'Jesus!', he said.
It was as if the ghost of Jason Voorhees was real.
And the nightmare was on his mind.
