Write a fight scene

Fight scenes in movies have always exited me and I enjoy making my own. So if you want I would like you to write a fight scene between 2 or more individuals. It can be anything you want. Just has to contain fighting.

Here's some tips if you want some bonus points.

Detailed: A detailed fight in writing helps you to visualise it. So instead of saying something like. "I punch him two times and he falls to the ground" Which works. Maybe say. "I grab the collar of his shirt and drive my fist into his nose. Splattering blood across his face as our feet shuffle around each other in the struggle. I send a second punch across his face connecting with his cheekbone making his head recoil. He looks back at me and pushes his hand against my face. I grab his collar with my other hand and spin him around before letting go. He falls to the ground with a thud"

Two sided: I really like two sided fights. Because in my opinion if only one guy is winning its not as exiting because you know who's going to win. A good way to make it two sided is to make the character you plan on having lose the fight throw some punches back. Or even place them in a position where they are besting the other for a little bit.

And some backstory: If you want. Just a lil something to get you invested into the characters.

That's pretty much all there is I have to say. But I will leave you with some of my favourite fight scenes in movies if you want to study them and see what makes me tic.

Walter and Jesse fight. From breaking bad.

I like this one mainly because of the characters attached to it but its also a very interesting and unique fight. Mainly because the fight is between a 50 year old chemistry teacher and a skinny drug user. Both fighters are unskilled so instead of the fight being flashy with cool moves its quite gritty, dark and uncomfortable. They spend a lot of the fight rolling around on the ground and driving each other into walls. Only really striking one another when the other is pushed down.

Hutch fighting people on a bus. From Nobody.

Do you ever watch a fight scene where the main character is fighting multiple people? And as you watch you notice most the people waiting in the background as the protagonist beats up their friend and you wonder "WHY ARE YOU NOT DOING ANYTHING HE HAS HIS BACK TO YOU!?!"

Well in Nobody its a little different. The main character is outnumbered and the opposing force use this to their advantage. They regularly gang up on him. Attacking him from behind as he focusses on another opponent and do their best to overwhelm him. Hutch uses the environment and his quick thinking to come out on top against otherwise unlikely odds.

The final fight from avengement.

What I like about this is how violent it is. That is what makes the scene. You watch it and go "Oh man that looks like it hurt" All the detail with the clothes grabbing and sounds the people make is amazing. Now this is writing so the best way to incorporate that is through details in the writing. Something should always be going on to build up for what's going to happen next.

That's pretty much it. Have fun. Write something. Or don't. Bye bye. Love you.
