I used a prompt generator to create the original idea but then I started writing and it developed into something more than a short story.

During an attempted kidnapping, Salem and his best friend Carina are surprised when the criminals seem to recognize Salem and runaway. Only later does Salem learn his high school sweetheart was behind the attack and now runs a crime syndicate that has been murdering countless people and has placed Salem on a "no harm" list. Salem decides to pay him a visit after all these years, hoping to figure out a way to stop these murders.
