"Iris. Iris, please wake up," said a whisper.
"Mmmnngh..." Iris slowly opened her eyes as she heard the whisper in her left ear. Her sight was blurry, and she felt a headache. When blinking more, she noticed Jessica kneeling beside her, worried. "J-Jessica?"
Jessica sighed in relief. "Oh, thank goodness that you're okay." When Iris sat up, she noticed they were in a dark place with rocks and stone walls. Also noticeable were the bars in front of them. Tiny icicles were on the ceiling and walls since it was cold; Jessica was shivering. "It looks like we're in a prison of some sort. Also, I tried waking Laura up, but she was still knocked out."
Iris massaged her forehead, trying to soothe the headache. "Why are you whispering?"
"I-I don't know where we are, so I don't want to risk anyone to hear us."
So many things came to Iris's mind, but one person came to mind. "Brianna."
"Yeah, I was shocked as hell when she arrived, but how the hell did she know where we were? Unless..."
Iris nodded as she curled her hands into fists. She should've known that Brianna and Derek were still seeing one another. Not that she cared anymore; they could have had one another if they wanted. However, she never expected that her sister would be helping Derek take them and the boys. That was when the boys came to mind. "Wait a minute, where are Asher and Waylen!?" Jessica tried to make her whisper, but Iris went into protective mode; she didn't care if she attracted anyone. Then, she and Jessica heard Laura groan in pain; she was waking up. The friends went to her. "Laura, you're finally awake."
The Luna took some time to regain her sight but eventually became fully awake. "Iris, Jessica? Wh-Where are we?"
"W-We don't know. It looks like some sort of prison," answered Jessica. "We came to the conclusion that Brianna was helping Derek all this time."
Laura slowly sat up and then remembered her son. "Waylen!? Where is my son!?" She went to the prison bars and noticed other jail cells. "Waylen!?" There was no answer; only her echo was heard.
When the Luna was about to yell out, someone interrupted her. "Your son, is not here. He is in another part of the cave," said a masculine voice.
The women stilled and became silent. They heard footsteps coming toward them. Iris felt frozen when she heard the voice she hoped never to hear again. He stood in front of the jail cell but wasn't alone; Brianna stood beside him. Looking at her sister, Iris noticed that Brianna looked dead to the world. Not only that, but the young woman noticed that Brianna had a collar on her neck.
Derek and Iris were finally face to face, their eyes on the other. Neither said a word for a while. Their face-off was interrupted when Laura banged on the bars; she growled, "Where are the boys!?"
"Oh, you're quite the noisy bitch, aren't you? Well, you are but a dog." Laura growled at him, but he ignored her. "It's been a while, Iris. Beautiful as ever."
"Y-You psychotic bastard! You were a hunter all this time! Why didn't you tell me while we were together!?"
"I was going to, once we were married. I was concerned that you were going to leave if I told you before our marriage."
Iris scoffed; she felt enraged. "Yet, it didn't matter anyway, since you slept with my sister!" She then focused on Brianna, who looked to the ground, her hair covering her face. "So you were helping him all this time! S-So you know the truth about everything!?"
"Of course she knows. I had to tell her about my world and the werewolves since I forced her to help me. It was her fault that we broke up. She seduced me since she was jealous of you."
Jessica was getting enraged along with the other women. "Horse crap, you psycho! You still have the freaking audacity to blame that bitch for everything! You still chose to sleep with her! You weren't forced to. You call yourself a hunter but you run away from the consequences. I'm glad that Iris found a real man!"
Without warning, Derek got a gun and shot a bullet, scaring everyone. The bullet missed Jessica by a couple of inches. "If I want your opinion, then I would ask. You know, I always hated you. You always tried to mind in our business. I should just kill you now."
He pointed his gun at Jessica, but Iris immediately blocked him by kneeling in front of her. "If you kill her, then you will have to kill me!" Iris waited for his reaction, and Derek eventually put his gun down. "You were always the bloody heart, Iris. I have always told you that Jessica was always trouble."
"You were the one who was always trouble, Derek! I can't believe I was so blinded and ignored who you truly were." She glanced at Brianna, who was trembling. "Why did you help him, Brianna?"
"Like I said, she has a lot to answer for. This pig ruined everything, and she has to pay for her sins." Derek then pointed his gun at Brianna, who squealed and tried to cover herself with her hands. "Tell your sister how you helped me lure and kill all those werewolves. Heh, she was good to gain their trust since she is human."
Brianna then finally looked up at Derek. "I-I helped you get what you wanted! Y-You said that you will let me go!"
Derek whistled in amusement as he still pointed the gun at her. "Did I? I never said where I was going to let you go. Yet, even if I did, I can't risk you going to the police. You know too much, Brianna." Without warning, he opened the nearest prison cell and pushed her inside, surprising her.
The cell door was closed, and Brianna looked confused. "G-Get me out of here!"
"Oh no, Brianna. We still haven't gotten to the good part. You still have a lot to answer for. We have to wait for the guest of honor." Then he looked at the women. "As for the boys, they are in another part of the cave, and they're safe for now. If you don't behave, I can't guarantee they will be okay. Do as you're told, and they will be unharmed. Understand?"
The women glared at him, and he chuckled. "Hn, I can't wait for the show to begin. I will make sure that your dog of a lover is gone for good." Derek went on his way to execute his plans.
