His face, etched with the weight of sorrow,

his eyes, an abyss of cold, untouched blue,

a body frail, broken, barely there,

a ghost walking through skin too pale, too thin.

Once, he knew what it was to feel alive,

to believe he might be more than a flicker,

but now, he is nothing more than a shadow,

a mirage of something that never truly was.

His bursts of rage, like flames that burn

but leave nothing but ash in their wake,

his stare, lost in some forgotten space,

tells of battles fought but never won.

Now, bedridden, he whispers the silence,

his hope swallowed by the cruel grasp of illness,

tears trace the hollow path of his face,

until, in the dark, his neck tightens with the rope.
