Characters: 

Joo Hyun (김주현) 

Age: 18 (just graduated high school) 

Personality: Shy, introverted, diligent, and kind-hearted. He’s always been an easy target for bullies but is fiercely independent, despite his quiet nature. 

Backstory: Joo Hyun’s high school years were a mix of pain and endurance. The bullying he faced left scars—both physical and emotional. He was never truly supported by anyone but occasionally had moments of kindness from unexpected sources, like Minho. 

Minho (이민호) 

Age: 19 (skipped three years of high school and became CEO)

Personality: Charismatic, ambitious, and powerful, but with a soft spot he hides well. His complex emotions toward Joo Hyun stem from guilt, affection, and a desire to protect. Minho is still unsure of how to balance his past with his growing feelings. 

Backstory: Minho wasn’t always the confident CEO he is now. He used to bully Joo Hyun in high school, using his friends to torment the quiet, kind student. However, deep down, Minho had always admired Joo Hyun. Over time, he couldn’t ignore the desire to help him without revealing himself, driven by his feelings for Joo Hyun and his own internal guilt. Backstory Scene 1: 

The Swimming Class Incident Setting: (High school pool after class.)

Key Event: Joo Hyun, embarrassed after his swimming class, finds his clothes stolen by some of Minho's friends. Humiliated, he struggles to find something to wear. Unbeknownst to Joo Hyun, Minho secretly helps by leaving a set of clothes in his locker with a note that reads, "Don’t let them get to you." 

Tension: Joo Hyun feels confused but is grateful for the help. He never knows who helped him, but Minho’s secret act of kindness sticks with him. 

Backstory Scene 2: 

The Scar Revelation Setting: (School poolside, after hours.) 

Key Event: Minho sneaks into the pool area after hours and secretly watches Joo Hyun practice swimming. During a quiet moment, Minho sees the faint scars on Joo Hyun’s back and arms—marks from when his parents beat him after failing his classes. 

Tension: Minho is disturbed by what he sees but doesn’t know how to help without revealing his past behavior. He watches in silence, feeling a mixture of guilt and anger toward Joo Hyun’s parents. 

Backstory Scene 3: 

The Grade Swap Setting: (Teachers' lounge and classroom.)

Key Event: Minho, after seeing Joo Hyun struggle with his grades, secretly swaps their grades. Joo Hyun passes, while Minho fails. The teacher asks Joo Hyun to tutor Minho in the subjects he’s struggling with, forcing Minho to act dumb in front of him. 

Tension: Minho’s emotions are a tangled mess—he watches Joo Hyun help him, sees the kindness in his eyes, and begins to realize his feelings are deeper than simple guilt. 

Backstory Scene 4: 

The Valentine's Day Heartbreak Setting: The school hallway, Valentine’s Day. 

Key Event: Joo Hyun, a heart full of hope, gives his classmate Ha Jin a Valentine’s Day gift, hoping for a chance at love. Ha Jin, with a mocking laugh, throws the gift away.

Tension: Minho, who witnessed the whole thing, is torn between his jealousy. And secretly writes a note, pretending to be Ha Jin, confessing that he likes Joo Hyun back. Joo Hyun, unaware of the truth, feels a brief spark of hope. Minho watches from a distance, feeling a rush of emotions—guilt, desire, and frustration. 

Backstory Scene 5: 

Minho Leaves for Business Setting: (Minho’s leaving day.)

Key Event: Minho quietly leaves the school, moving on to pursue his business ventures. He never reveals his feelings to Joo Hyun and disappears without a word. 

Tension: Joo Hyun, is still lost in his feelings for Ha Jin.

Backstory Scene 6: 

The Humiliation Setting: (High school, just before Minho leaves.)

Key Event: Joo Hyun, after the Valentine’s Day incident, gathers the courage to ask HaJin if he wants to date him. HaJin cruelly rejects him and humiliates him in front of others, causing Joo Hyun to break down into tears. 

Tension: Joo Hyun cries uncontrollably, feeling worthless. Minho, watching from the shadows, is consumed with guilt, regret, and a desire to comfort Joo Hyun. But he does nothing, leaving the scene without revealing himself. 

Now Scene 7: 

The Truth Comes Out Setting: (Holt Enterprises, Minho’s office.)

Key Event: Now CEO of Holt Enterprises, Minho hires Joo Hyun as his secretary. When Joo Hyun learns of the truth—about the acts of kindness Minho secretly performed in high school—he is furious. He feels betrayed and humiliated all over again, es

Now Scene 8: 

The Kiss and Aftermath Setting: (Minho’s office, late at night.)

Key Event: The kiss is charged with all the past emotions—guilt, longing, regret. Joo Hyun, stunned and still angry, pulls away. "You don't get to fix everything with one kiss," he says, his voice shaking. But Minho doesn’t let go. "I know I can’t undo the past," he replies, his voice hoarse. "But I want to try. For you." 

Tension: Joo Hyun, heart racing, struggles between pushing Minho away and allowing himself to feel the comfort of someone who truly understands him for the first time.
