"Girl I ran into Vegas today." I told my best friend Star when I got home.
"Girl what? When?" She asked.
"Just now at the coffee spot." I said looking out the window.
"Girl he did not follow you. What he say?" She asked.
"He wanted to take me to lunch but I told him no." I said.
"What why? Girl you need to take him up on that offer you have been single since you were 23 your gonna be 29 soon don't you think it's time?" She asked.
"And you think he's the one I need to be doing it with?" I asked.
"Why not? He could be mister right."
"Girl that man is Mr right now." I laughed.
Everyday for the last few months he sat there and waited at the coffee shop just begging to take my ass out. I kept telling him no after my college boyfriend and I broke up I didn't wanna be with nobody. I love Yasel with everything in me I swore he was the one but I soon found out he was a dog. He cheated on me with half the school. Soon as I slept with him he was done with me. Not only that but he took a video of me. He passed it around school and I had to transfer schools. Since then I use them for what they using me for and that's it.
Now today when I saw Dusse I also saw Yasel. So I had think quick on my feet.
"This is my man Dusse. Babe this is my ex boyfriend." I said hoping dusse would play along. He put his arm around me.
"Sup." He said.
"Can we talk." Yasel asked me but before I could respond Dusse did.
"Naw we don't do that. See my lady told me alot about you and how you hurt her. So you could just step away from her. Come on baby we about to go to lunch." He said grabbing my hand and we got in his truck. Once we left my heart started to slow down. I been going to that coffee shop for years and he's never been there so how was it that he knew where I was today. I called my sister and told her I was gonna be late and I told her why and she damn near screamed in my ear so I hung up on her my sister was too optimistic for me. I loved her but she believed too much in fairy tales.
"I haven't been here in years." I said when we pulled up to the restaurant. My daddy use to take us here for my birthday every year.
"Shit when I'm in town this the first place I got. I love some good homemade soup food." Dusse said.
"Miss Compton it's been years " miss Yaya said when she saw me.
"Hi Miss Yaya."
"And Dusse it's always good to see you. Awww are you to together. You finally got rid of that boy thank you Jesus." She said hugging me.
"Yeah this is all me." He said putting his arms around me." He said and we got seated in a booth.
"You are wrong. I swear I never had a one night stand that wouldn't go away." I said rolling my eyes.

"We were not a one night stand baby." He said pushing an envelope to me. I opened it up and I swear my stomach dropped to my ass. Married? It's no way I got my ass that drunk and married a stranger. My daddy was gonna kill me.
