If y’all don’t know my approach to fanfiction, I tend to place darker twists on the franchise to which the fanfiction belongs (partly because my specialty is Dark Fantasy). What’s New Scooby-Doo: The Ghost of Ontario is no exception.
What we have here is a mix of What’s New Scooby-Doo? and Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island, meaning that it’ll share the elements of what makes What’s New Scooby-Doo? so entertaining, and the more mature and scarier aspects of Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island. I’m not a huge fan of Mystery Incorporated, so I’ll ensure the entire story isn’t serious like that interpretation of this iconic show.
That said, I want to bring two mature topics to your guys’ attention before we begin this different kind of journey in the Scooby-Doo world. Expect to find them here while enjoying your iconic and entertaining journey with the Mystery Gang!

1.) Scooby-Doo is known as a diverse show with the gang solving mysteries worldwide. One of this story’s main themes is colonization and the stealing of native lands from the Native Americans. Mature, yes, but I feel it’s a topic glossed over and needs to be taught more, even in kids’ shows.
2.) This story has one horror-like scene later in the narrative involving the gang and the Ghost of Ontario. While frightening, it’s a crucial character moment for the entire cast, so try not to skip it. If it’s too scary, though, I understand.
