What is the human condition?  Thousands of ancient thinkers have given their best shot at this question, and now it's aimed towards you.  Perhaps it's the condition of the heart, the mind, the soul, or the body--maybe all of it.  But what exactly is the human condition?

Here's an example of something I wrote.  Very short, they don't all have to be as short as this... your word limit is 1,000 words, after all.

It's the human condition to hate

It's the human condition to want love 

In the secrets of our hearts we hide

Hoping to one day be found

If we knew what we wanted

This example is more poetic, but the entries don't have to be.  Communicate in any form of writing what you believe to be the human condition.
