"I haven't seen you in awhile", Reggie said smiling wide at me.
I don't why I fell head over heels for him.
"Yeah I gotta go"
I started running away from him and looking for William.
"Alex wait", Reggie yelled chasing me.
I found William back on the chip aisle. I ran towards him and pulled him to the side out of the middle near the cart. I hid myself between him and the cart.
"Alex what are you doing", William said as I grabbed his face pulling it towards mine.
At first he stood stunned for a moment until he started kissing back. I felt his hand against my cheek and tongue slip into my mouth. His nose grazed against my cheek and his thumb stroked the other as we kissed.
"The fuck", I heard Reggie said
We kept going and William's hand went from my face to my ass.
"Get a room... wait a second Alex is that you", Reggie said and I felt William being ripped off of me.
Now I remember why I dated his dumbass because no matter how you leave things or how you act he'll always have your back. I wish right now he didn't have mine.
"Fuck is you doing", William said to Reggie.
"You're fucking harassing my girlfriend", Reggie said and William turned to look at me.
"Don't look at me I'm not dating him"
"Yes you are", Reggie said reaching out to grab me.
I backed away from him and into William.
"So that's how it's going to be really Alex", Reggie said
I stayed slient and just looked at him.
"So you don't remember fucking me. I know you don't forget that. Following that question have you two fucked yet? Wait nevermind that it's too personal. But if you have the way she uses her tongue the best part. Right? I mean it was for me", Reggie said
"I think I hear my car alarm going off we should go check on that", I said pulling William away from Reggie.
"You don't remember calling me your forever and your first love", Reggie said following us.
I dragged William outside and I looked back once we were at my car. I couldn't see him so we got into the car. We were riding for a few minutes in silence until William talked.
"Who was that", William said
"Reggie Mar"
"You two fucked before", William said
"I would prefer if you said dated and yes we have a long time ago"
"If he's your forever then what am I", William said
"He was my forever. Key word was"
"Then what am I", William said
"Can we not talk about this right now"
"Why not? You come running to me and kissed me in public. Trying to hide from your ex and then he says you're his girlfriend. On top of all that you called him you first love or whatever", William said
"Can we talk about his at another time like when we get home"
"Do you still like him is that why you're avoiding the question", William said
"Not now please"
"Fine", William said crossing his arms.
Like 10 minutes later we arrive at the house and sad to say I'm afraid of going in. Because I don't want to have this talk I don't know what we are. I mean I know we go out and got labels. William got out and walked straight into the house. I took down the handicap sign and tossed it into the glove box.
If I go in William is going to be mad and if I don't he'll be angry. Honestly I don't know what to do. April left I think I Ivy left too. All I have left is Jackson so I called him.
"For the first time in forever you're calling me", Jackson said
"I need you to do something"
"Of course the only time you call you want something", Jackson said
"Just get my notebook, phone charger and earbuds"
"Is that all", Jackson said
"Put it all in my backpack it's in my closet"
"Are you sure that's all you want", Jackson said again.
"Also don't tell William a thing if he asks you anything"
"Alright I'll be ok in a second", Jackson said and I hung up.
I sat in the car playing with the radio until I saw Jackson coming out the house. I rolled down my window and grabbed my stuff.
"What took you so long"
"Mr Hall kept asking me questions", Jackson said
"Oh well tell April and Ivy I'm staying at a friend's house"
"Ok", Jackson said stepping away from the car.
I pulled off again and drove to Zack's office building. I parked way in the back in between some cars to blend in. I turned off the car and plugged in my phone and earbuds. I blasted my music and grabbed my notebook off the passanger seat. I flipped to the very last page in the book skipping like 20 pages. I started drawing instrad of writing because I got too much going around in my head.
Zack's POV
"No April I don't know where Alex is"
"Then help find her", April yelled into the phone.
"Maybe she's just in one of her moods calm down she'll show up in the morning", I said hanging up.
I was supposed to be enjoying my lunch break but instead I'm stuck looking for Alex. I looked up William Hall on my computer and got his number. I dialed his number and put it on speaker.
"William here", William said
"Where the hell is Alex", I said walking around my office.
"I don't know she was supposed to be following me inside the house so we could talk but she never came", William said
"Talk about what"
"It's between Alex and I", William said
"What the fuck happened"
"I know how she is she doesn't people all up in her business so I'm not telling you", William said
I like his ambition but Alex is missing.
"What the fuck happened I don't care about all the secret shit"
"We were supposed to be talking about us, our relationship", William said
"Jackson told me you guys went to the store what happened"
"We ran into Reggie Mar", William said
"Who's that"
"I'm guessing her ex or something I don't know but he called her his girlfriend", William said
"Thanks that's all I need", I said hanging up.
I looked up Reggie Mar in my computer and I couldn't find it. Nothing came up.
"What the fuck? Who the hell is Reggie Mar"
I've been searching for hours looking for this guy. I looked him up on Google and everything but nothing would come up. Who is he? I packed up my briefcase and got ready to go home. Hopefully she'll show up in the morning.
I was locking up the building and saw two cars in the parking lot. One of which was mine and the other one was way in the back. I walked over to my car and drove next to the other car. I parked my car and looked inside the other car's window. It was Alex. I saw that her notebook is open.
I quickly took out my phone and shined it on the page. It was a drawing of a actual heart with different knives and all sorts of things being stabbed into it. Some of them had initials written into them. Some of them said RM, WH, MK and RL. But out of all of them RM stood out the most. It had a long cut going straight down the left side and it looks like it's bleeding. Whoever Reggie Mar is he has a lot of explaining to do.
I called a towing company to come get Alex's car and bring it to my place. I took a picture of the heart and sent it to April and Ivy with RM being circled. I need that notebook to find out who Reggie Mar is. Apparently she's the only one with that information about Reggie Mar.
Reese's POV
I woke up to hearing my phone ringing. It was Alex the fuck is she doing up so early.
"It's like 7 in the morning Alex", I said laying back down.
"Did my sisters or a guy named Zack or William called", Alex said
I wonder what's going on over there.
"No"
"Good and also you think I can come over", Alex said
I climbed over my bed to the window and saw no cars. I guess nobody here.
"Everybody is out so yeah"
"Alright I'll on my way", Alex said and hung up on me.
I quickly got up and put on some socks. I heard a knock on the door like 15 minutes later. I ran downstairs and opened the door. I noticed Alex was wearing the same clothes from yesterday.
"Damn you got here fast"
"Um yeah think I could use your shower", Alex said looking around.
"Yeah and why you wearing the same thing from yesterday"
"I'll answer all your questions once I'm in the shower", Alex said looking at me.
"It's upstairs it's like down the hall the last door", I said stepping aside for her to come in.
I locked the door behind her and upstairs to get her a towel and rag. I ran down to the bathroom and saw that it was unlocked.
"Alex here a towel and rag", I said knocking on the door.
"Just come in", Alex said
I slowly opened the door and peeked inside. I saw her hand stick out from the shower and I put the rag in it.
"The towel is on the counter"
I left the bathroom and heard keys jiggling and ran to my room. I opened the window and saw my mom and dad's car parked outside.
"Shit"
They not supposed to be home until 3. I ran downstairs and saw them walking into the kitchen.
"Hey dad"
"Who's in the shower", mom said
"Nobody"
"You sure I hear the water running. I'm going to go check", mom said walking upstairs.
I ran in front of her blocking the door.
"Reese Lloyd move out the way", mom said
"I can't go back downstairs"
"Who's in there", mom said
"Nobody"
"Then move out the way", mom said
"I can't"
"Nicolas come here", mom said and my dad came to the door.
"Son what are you doing", dad said
"Nothing"
"Tell him to move", mom said
My dad grabbed me and I held onto the doorknob trying to keep the door closed. But my fingers slipped and my dad set me down behind him.
"Shit, shit, shit", I mumbled
My mom opened the door and Alex was standing there brushing her hair in the mirror. She turned and looked at us. She was wearing a black sports bra and basketball shorts that hung low around her waist making her black and white girl boxers show.
"Who is this girl", mom said
"Maybe she's why you don't have any underwear on", dad said
I looked down and slightly pulled out my shorts. I didn't have any underwear on. Shit, this isn't helping my case.
"Were you having sex", mom said and Alex started laughing.
I looked up at Alex was enjoying all of this.
"What's so funny Alex"
"That your parents think I fucked you", Alex said doing her hair.
"Darling can you cover up some", dad said
"This is all I got besides a jacket", Alex shrugged.
"Nobody is answering my questions. Who is she? Why is she here? Did you have sex?", mom said
"My name is Alex and I needed somewhere to shower and no I didn't sleep with your son", Alex said zipping up her bag.
"Are you homeless", dad said
"No just going through some stuff at the house", Alex said
"Let's go downstairs instead of crowding up this hallway", mom said and we followed her into the living room.
I sat next to Alex and my parents sat across from us.
"Are you being abused by your parents", mom said
"I don't have any parents and from my adoptive parents I doubt they would touch me", Alex said laughing to herself.
"Sorry for your loss", mom and dad said
"It's alright that shit was years ago I never even liked them", Alex shrugged.
"Oh", mom said
