Why do people these days not know their dinosaurs?
When I was a kid, I could name all sorts of obscure ones and easily tell the difference between Allosaurus and T-Rex. Apparently, it's a lost art.
And there's so much more dinosaur stuff now! I remember trying to have a dinosaur birthday party when I was 8, and there was nothing - NOTHING! - for it! No decorations, no themed party favours, no fun games to play, nothing! And now I walk into any store and start drooling over the dinosaur toys I never got, or the decorations I couldn't have! You'd think with all the cool dinosaur stuff out there now, kids would know their stuff, right?
Wrong. So very wrong.
I have a tattoo, okay? It's of an Allosaurus skull that was discovered in Alberta. Allosaurus is not only one of the coolest dinosaurs of all time, in my personal opinion, but one of my favourites. It is not a T-Rex. Stop saying it is. I had one guy, when I told him "no, it's not a T-Rex," ask me if it's another dinosaur that I had made up. I kid you not. This guy couldn't possibly understand that there was another carnivore that was not T-Rex. He just could not grasp this concept.891Please respect copyright.PENANAixW96Gz0Gz
We need to educate the children young before dinosaur identification becomes a lost art!
... Wow, rereading this, I pity any child of mine, who will be taught to know their dinosaurs before they learn their animals... Just saying...891Please respect copyright.PENANAu0JuJEs7zw
