Hi, all! I write bits of this and bobs of that, pretty much whatever pops into my head and won't leave. More often than not I put what I'm feeling into my writing rather than saying anything, so if you need a reason why my stories are all happy one minute and dark the next...yeah. I'd say I'm a pretty good writer, but you can make that judgement for yourself below!

This isn't your usual serial contest. Instead of going off each other, you each will be going off the start of the story below. Take it in anyway you wish, PG-13 or under. Contest winners will be chosen by me. Take your time, and have fun!

I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of someone messing with the latch on a window. In my house. Where I live alone.

I picked up my aluminum baseball bat and slipped out of bed. The sound was coming from my father's old study. The man (judging by the build and general stance of the person) was too preoccupied to notice me. I opened the window and let him fall in, before putting my foot on his chest and raising my baseball bat. "If you're going to kill me, now would be a good chance to try, because I'll be bashing your skull in soon enough."

The man looked up at me and raised his hands in surrender. "Okay, okay. I'm unarmed. Just call the police, I can go..."
