This is the entry I was planning on making for the Scrapbook of Love contest, but I got so busy I didn't get the chance to enter. Anyway, here's the entry for you guys to see so it doesn't go to waste. It isn't my best, but I tried to base it off of real life and I have a sucky love life so that's explains why this entry sucks too. Enjoy my sad love story. 1025Please respect copyright.PENANAlF5Fo5xUHR

He ran his thumb over her cheek, sending a swarm of butterflies to flood her stomach. His touch was so soft to her, which was out of place among his other fierce qualities. Even though she found herself wanting to run, she stayed by his side as he placed a gentle kiss atop her forehead.
She imagined her face was the color of strawberries by now. She dared herself to glance up; when she did all she saw was a sea of blue and green staring back at her. She could hear her heart thumping, it almost sounded like a train on its tracks running wild across the fields of the old English countryside.
She felt herself leaning closer to him, every fiber of her being longing to be near him. He, too, leaned toward her. She could hardly think, let alone remember what it felt like to actually kiss someone on the lips.
His lips.
Her gaze shifted to his perfectly pink lips. They were slightly parted as if awaiting physical contact. She moved closer and closer and closer until finally she –
NO, stop it.
Savvy opened her eyes to a blank ceiling. She had just caught herself doing it again. Fantasizing about a life she could have with a guy was not proactive at all. She had no chance with him, so what was the point? He wasn’t even nice to her, not really. He hardly even spoke to her.
So why was she so hung up on him?
Was it because of the party that night? She thought back to the night were she had actually meet a decent guy who liked her. Well, not that decent, she later found out. But the guy she had been fawning over was there and he was so obviously jealous of the “Decent boy”. It made her cringe just thinking about that horrible night.
After that night, he flirted with her. He showed her attention for a while. She let herself believe that she had a chance only to find out he was already talking to someone else. The thought of him with anyone but her made her chest hurt so she pushed those thoughts away.
Savvy rolled over in bed. If she could just stop thinking about him then maybe the feelings she had would fade away. But, every time the chance of seeing him came up, she jumped at the opportunity.
For once, though, she just wanted to be the one someone else was pining over. She wanted to be the first choice instead of the last resort. All she ever wanted was someone to love and that person love her back for her. She knew that she was only a teenager, but that didn’t mean she didn’t want someone to ease her loneliness. She was so shy compared to the other girls. In front of boys she always made a fool of herself. She didn’t even know how to flirt, so how could she possibly expect love?
All she wanted was love. Was that too much to ask? She just wished it was easier to find her soulmate – if one for her even existed.
Savvy sighed and closed her eyes. “If only…”1025Please respect copyright.PENANAipfZqlolgm
