Jonathan’s POV
After Oli left the house, everyone was in a tizzy. Dad was angry that I even had the guts to let her into the house. After an hour of arguing I gave up and went in search of my older brother James. He would know what to do about this. I can’t believe Jackson had the audacity to pull this kind of stunt.
“Have you heard the news?”
James looked up from the files he was reading. I frowned at the Hawks symbol but before I could ask about them, he placed them down into his desk drawers. Hmmmm, now what was he up to?
“About the kill order? What about it?”
“Aren’t you going to do anything about it?”
“Why? They were the instructions I gave to Jackson”
“Why didn’t you tell me? I could have handled the situation a whole lot better. Oli’s going to be pissed and might actually kill our father”
“That’s fine by me, if he ends up getting taken out, our plans will run a whole lot smoother”
“You’re too cruel”
“It’s my job Jonathan, now you need to start doing yours. You can leave now”
Sighing, I left his office and flopped down in the nearest living room. It was never meant to be this way. Once Oli had left, things with the Cobra’s and the Hawks got worse. She knew this of course, she was a triple agent and really good at her job. Killing Jackson’s father was pretty easy, but making sure Jackson took over was a lot harder. She did a good job but it looks like Jackson has no need for her anymore.
I mean her death will be mourned to an extent but her death will also bring a lot of people joy. Even though the new drug runs through her system, that girl could remember everything about any day, even what the weather was like. She was good without the drugs, even better when she was on them. Of course there are many set backs when someone gets addicted to anything. The program derailed after Oli had a rather large killing spree. We lost a lot of good agents that day.
I still had no idea why she was back anyway. Last I heard she was investigating a mafia not too far from here. And it’s not like Oli to fuck something up, especially not a case that big. Jackson’s starting close in rather tightly, making me wonder how Oli was going to handle him. Not to mention she also had that rather large parasite, Nathan, clinging onto her every move. I frowned when my phone started to ring and I didn’t recognise the number.
“Hello?”
“Is this Jonathan Neale?”
“Yes this is he. What can I do for you?”
“It’s about the Barkley twins”
“Who?”
“A set of twins that recently enrolled into your university”
“Ah them. What about them?”
“They’ve been found out”
The dial tone rang through my ear. What the hell was that? How can someone know who the Barkely twins are? It was a good cover because Oli and Nathan shared some resemblance to the original twins. This can’t be happening. Cursing, I rang the emergency number. I mean this count’s as an emergency right?

Jeremy’s POV
The sound of my phone ringing broke the awkward silence of the meeting that was taking place. At first I just quickly silenced it but it started to ring moments later. I ended the call without looking at who it was and gave my boss an awkward smile. He frowned at me and I knew this was the last straw for me. This was probably the last meeting I will be able to attend. I turned my phone on silent and watched it ring and ring. Why can’t he bloody take the hint?
“Do you want to step out and answer that?”
“No, keep going. It’s not important”
The boss eyed me one last time, before pulling himself back into business mode. This meeting was uncalled for and I don’t see why my brother and I are here int he first place. I’m still on probation and Jason should still be in lock up. I mean we were usually left out anyway. I annoy the hell out of our boss and he hates that I break the concentration of the room.
“Two weeks ago, I had sent the Barkley twins on a covert mission but three days ago we lost contact with them. I will be sending the JJ brothers down to investigate the university that they were last seen. I think we’ve covered everything. If that will be all for today, then you are all dismissed”
I looked over to my brother, who looked equally as confused as I was. We can’t be out on field work, we are too unstable. I nodded to Jason and quietly left the meeting room. I had about ten missed calls from Jonathan and cursed. He knows not to call me unless there is a emergency. I rang and he picked up after the second ring.
“Jeremy”
“This better be a bloody emergency”
“It’s about the Barkley Twins"
