   Your challenge is to steal one line from the following poem, write a poem, and put that line somewhere in your poem. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, here’s a twist. The poem below is about a summer day, but you must make your poem about Christmas/Winter. Remember, you must use a line from the poem down below.

   The sun is bright,

beaming, shining, blazing down on me.

   A bead of sweat breaks out on my forehead.

 I think of how nice it would be if I were at the pool,

  children laughing, having fun,

    as I relax.

  I fan myself as I watch the birds fly about.

   Sipping, on my ice cold lemonade,

   thinking about getting ice cream,

         wishing for a way,

        to cool off,

on this scorching summer day.
