Amira has always been outspoken, opinionated, rebellious, and never one to obey authority.  When she goes to live with her grandmother and is forced to start a new school she may may have met her match in the form of the new school principal.

Carrie Rose is the new principal at Amira's new school and when she first meets Amira, sparks fly, but not in the way that either Amira or Carrie ever expected.
