Tasmin Grey has had a hard life. She doesn't know who her father is and her mother is in prison for identity theft. The best friend that she has grown up with for years Rosanna is caught dealing drugs and also thrown behind bars. Before the council arrive to take Tasmin away, she escapes with only a rucksack and a mind full of memories.
Travelling rough at age sixteen isn't easy. But all Tasmin has ever wanted is to discover freedom and live through happier times. Her travelling takes her to the seaside town of Goodington-On-Sea which offers fun, sand and sea. Plus a very handsome boy whose parents run a seafood restaurant on the seafront.
But Tasmin can't stay away for ever. The threat that the council could find out her location at any time throws a spanner in the works. She keeps secrets from people but this is her biggest one yet.
