She bolted upright, a full stocking being noticed on the end of her bed. She realised it was hers because it was smaller than the other two belonging to her Mothers.
A note had been left for the five year old. It read; ‘To Alexandria, you can open this first! Merry Christmas!’
Alexandria was a curious child, so let out a small gasp of happiness. She grabbed the stocking and pulled it close, before grabbing one of the many contents it had. She ripped open the packaging, gasping as she realised what it was. It was a new hat! She’d wanted a new hat for so long, and Santa had gotten it for her! She was thrilled!
Alexandria ran through the rest of the contents, then cheered. She stood up and ran down the stairs, hearing chattering from the lounge. She ran inside as two heads pivoted to face her. Both women had wide grins as Eilleen moved forward to pick Alexandria up, giving her a twirl.
”Merry Christmas!” Mira cheered out loud, and even she was smiling. Eilleen plopped Alexandria back down who raced towards the sack of presents Santa had left her. Mira whipped out her camera and began recording.
”I wonder what Santa got you this year?” Eilleen chirped, assisting Alexandria when she struggled to get the large sack open. There were many gifts from many different people, but the sack was definitely from Eilleen and Mira.
Alexandria pulled out a large parcel, done up in Christmassy wrapping paper; it had multi-coloured stars on it, so Mira chose it especially for her. There were only two types of wrapping paper in the sack; it indicated which presents were from who. Eilleen had chosen some Christmas dinosaur wrapping paper, since Alexandria loved dinosaurs.
Alexandria ripped open the wrapping paper and opened the box… her reaction was nothing but insane squeaking. Eilleen let out a little giggle as she realised which gift she had grabbed.
It was an Oculus VR headset! The girl had wanted one for so long! And a really expensive gift, too!
Alexandria immediately ran to both of her mother’s and gave them a hug; she could only hug Mira’s leg, so Mira gave her a headpat. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
It was now Eilleen’s turn to open a present.
There was a big navy blue sack waiting under the tree; Eilleen was surprised to see it was from a mix of Mira and Alexandria! She carefully undid the ribbon holding it as unbeknownst to her, Mira had started recording! She obviously wanted to savour her wife’s reaction as the dark haired brunette gently picked out a small box. Was that her gift? No, Mira was much more extravagant than that.
”Oh! Careful with that one, Eilly.” Mira suddenly called out. Eilleeen nodded, gently opening the jet black box.
And her jaw dropped.
”Is this real right now?” She blurted out, looking between Mira and the box. Mira snickered whilst nodding, obviously being the sender of the host. She immediately stood up, her heart melting as she approached Mira. Said woman stopped filming, letting Eilleen sit on her lap as Eilly gave the supersoldier a big smooch on the cheek.
Mira appreciated this enough for it to be a gift for herself, despite all the presents Mira had from both parties.
“Merry Christmas!” All three blurted.
