Amidst their archaic way of living
They were interrupted by strange beings
That promised to enlighten them on new things to believe in
Instead of the ignorance they long been.
Some among the people refused to be taught
And were ready to stop them with all they've got
But most were carried away by the strangers luxury
Blind and deaf to the forth coming agony.
The locals were shown stuff that impress them
And they believe a new society the strangers would help them build
But the strangers intent were firm
To gather up much that they were blessed by nature as they could,
And make the locals succumb to indirect rule.
Their old means of security couldn't stop the strangers
For the foreigners weapon's were modernized,
If they try their lives would be endangered.
So the people became slaves in their own town
Forbidden to object but to the ills they frown.
Some of the locals were taken to another land
Ill treated and sold to wealthy men or lords
To a place were they were treated like beasts and their dead bodies were kept bare on the sand
How supercilious the strangers were and saw themselves like gods.
The fortunate ones untaken choosed death over their stay
For they were opposed in every way.
