Camp Crystal Lake is cursed. 

After a series of deaths, Steve Christy, the son of the original owners, doesn't believe in the stories of the supernatural two decades before. But, as he, and the other campers, including Alice Hardy, his girlfriend, stay there, they're attacked by a revenge seeking killer.
