Kaitois all about plans. He’s that guy who’s always on top of his stuff, follows every rule, and loves things to be neat and organized. He’s got his life figured out. But then he gets paired with Ryu, the total opposite. Ryu’s an art major who never plans anything is always late, and doesn’t care about rules. He’s spontaneous, free, and doesn't seem to take anything seriously. Kaito? Not a fan.

At first, it’s pretty much a disaster. Kaito’s annoyed with Ryu’s messy, carefree style, and Ryu thinks Kaito is way too uptight. But as they start working together on their project, things start to shift. Kaito starts to see how talented Ryu is and how he looks at the world in a way Kaito never thought of. Ryu, on the other hand, starts to realize that maybe Kaito’s dedication isn’t so bad after all. Maybe there’s something cool about how focused Kaito is, even if he’s a little intense.

But then, like any good story, there’s drama. They fight. Misunderstandings happen. Kaito freaks out about letting someone in, and Ryu, hurt by Kaito’s coldness, doesn’t know if he can deal with being pushed away. But as their worlds collide, they start to realize that maybe being so different isn’t such a bad thing. Maybe it’s what they need to figure things out.

At a young age, Lukewas already learning to be a sailor like his father. His father had died, and his mom wanted him to be a sailor.She always pressured him. Since his father owned a boat company, the company fell into his hands. Luke was only eighteen and yet knew everything about sailing. He and his best friend,Lyles, drove the boat to and from where it needed to be, both at eighteen. One day, while Luke was driving and Lyles was patrolling, a security guard walked into the security area of the boat and said there was a rude passenger who refused to stop acting recklessly. Luke and Lyles switched places. Luke followed the security guard. And there stood Elizes(E-Lie-Z-Is)or Eli.

Sweat formed on my brow, despite the air-conditioning's best efforts to keep the atmosphere cool. I had to remind myself to maintain composure. "Confidence," I repeated under my breath, aligning my spine and lifting my chin, projecting an air of confidence that I hoped would mask my inner turmoil.

Finally, I reached the imposing doors, a silent prayer for strength passing through my lips. As I extended my hand towards the cool, polished handle, a fleeting thought crossed my mind. If only he wasn't my boss; with his slicked-back black hair, piercing blue eyes, and undeniable physical presence, I couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to go on a date with him. But reality brought me crashing back to earth. He and I lived in different worlds, separated by professional boundaries and responsibilities.

The doors swung open, revealing the man I had come to fear and respect. His commanding presence filled the room, sending a shiver down my spine. His deep growl-like voice gave weight to his address. "Mr. Jeong," he began, his eyes locking with mine, "you are late."

Those of you who have journeyed with us before will find familiar faces. I'm delighted to reintroduce you to our main characters— two individuals who couldn't be more different in appearance or personality. This time, however, we delve deeper, peeling back layers to reveal more about their characters, their motivations, and their interactions within the vibrant settings they navigate.

In this project, just as I always love to do, I've brought together two main characters with intriguing appearances and distinct personalities, each offering their unique perspective and contribution to the story. These individuals, along with a cast of supporting characters, meet in a specific setting, leading us to ponder the serendipity of encounters and the unpredictability of life.

"Between: Part 1" primarily focuses on the characters' high school life, setting the stage for what is to come in "Part 2" which will explore their university years. It's a journey that promises to be filled with countless twists and turns, laughter and tears, trials and triumphs, heartache and love. As an author, I have provided a structural roadmap, but the characters drive the narrative. They will make their own decisions and face the consequences of those decisions, making the storyline feel organic and real.

To our new readers, welcome. We hope you fall in love with our characters and their stories just as much as we have. To our returning readers, welcome back. While the essence of the original story remains intact, this revised version aims to enhance your understanding and enjoyment of our characters and their journey.
