A long time ago, I had my first job. It wasn’t a regular job—it was on a pirate ship! The captain was a man with one leg. He used a crutch to walk, and he had a parrot on his shoulder. His name was Long John Silver. He was clever and kind to his crew, but he was also very tricky.
One day, Long John Silver did something surprising. He found a hidden treasure map on a tiny island. But instead of keeping it for himself, he shared it with the crew. "We’ll find this treasure together!" he declared. Everyone cheered, even the parrot squawked, "Treasure! Treasure!"
The journey to find the treasure wasn’t easy. There were storms, enemy ships, and even a giant whale that scared the crew! But Long John Silver always found a way to keep everyone safe. He used his clever tricks and kind words to solve every problem.
Finally, they reached the island. They dug and dug until they found a big chest full of gold coins, shiny jewels, and strange old maps. But instead of keeping it all, Long John Silver said, "Let’s share it fairly. Everyone gets a piece of the treasure!"
After that adventure, Long John Silver decided to leave the pirate life. He opened a small inn by the sea where travelers came to hear his tales. People loved his stories about treasure maps, storms, and friendly parrots. Even though he wasn’t a pirate anymore, everyone still called him Captain Silver.
And every night, the parrot would squawk, "Treasure! Treasure!"
