When I was in the car with Logan on the way to the hotel last night, I remember him mentioning something about Venice Beach. He told me, he and his friends usually go there since it is the nearest beach to where they live. I figured since Venice Beach is the nearest to where they live, it must be the beach nearest to The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites where Mark and I are currently staying. One thing he failed to mention was that the beach is almost 20 minutes away. Nevertheless, I decided to go. I have nothing better to do with my time today.
It is 12: 46pm and I am sitting in a cafe called The Sidewalk Cafe. It is a small yet beautiful cafe with open-air tables and the most stunning view of the beach. I didn't have time to eat breakfast so I decided to stop for a quick coffee and grab something to eat before heading to the beach. This morning before leaving the hotel, I packed some sunscreen lotion, a beach towel and one of my favourite books called Me Before You written by an amazing author Jojo Moyes. My plan is to have a relaxing afternoon laying on the beach while reading my book. I had a very busy morning. I went into a few boutiques with the intention to window shop but ended up buying a few pairs of clothes, mostly dresses of course, a couple pairs of cute sandals and a new white and gold bikini which I put on underneath my dress. I also bought a yellow poke-dot beach umbrella and a pair of sunglasses. Since I could only pack one suitcase, I figured I would buy all the stuff I need in Los Angeles. I have no idea how on earth I am going to get all these things back to London.
To my surprise, it was quite busy for a Monday morning. The boutiques I went into, the cafe and the beach are packed with people. It's interesting to see the amount of people roaming the streets on a working day. Somehow, I love the busyness.
What I love even more, is to be walking around, exploring, greeting people without looking over my shoulder every 5 minutes. I do not have to walk on egg shells.194Please respect copyright.PENANAApjRdOgf0t

I cannot explain how extremely freeing it feels to be out and about without Mark. The best thing about sitting in a cafe by myself, without him is being able to order whatever I want.
I am definitely taking advantage of the opportunity. I order a large cappuccino with extra cream together with a bacon and cheese burger. I am starving so I order an extra plate of fries. My cappuccino arrives first and as I am waiting for my lunch, I gaze to the beach side. The beach is only a few meters away so I am able to see all the people enjoying this warm, sunny day. I see a few boys surfing the waves, others trying but failing to stay on the surfboard which of course makes me giggle. I see people relaxing under umbrellas, a couple of girls getting a free tan, a mum building a sand castle with her children and a few couples casually walking hand in hand across the beach. It is truly a beautiful day.
I take out my camera to snap a few pictures when suddenly, my eyes reach an ice cream truck. The truck has a long line of people waiting to buy ice cream. In the line, there is a man wearing blue swim shorts which strangely looks familiar. I look at the rest of the people waiting patiently but my eyes come back to the man in the blue shorts and he immediately catches my attention. At first I think somehow my eyes must be betraying me. I take my camera and zoom in to where the man is standing.
Oh. my. God. I think to myself as I slowly take the camera away from my eyes for a second or two. "No" I say out loud. A few people lift their heads and stare at me while I continue to have a conversation with myself. "That cannot be him. It's just someone who looks exactly like him." I pick the camera up and take another, closer look. Shitballs! That's Mark!
The moment I realize the man standing in the line waiting to buy ice cream is my fiance, the same man who told me he was going to be in meetings all day, I am completely in shock. I am not shocked to find out that he has been lying to me since I already expected as much. However, what is shocking to me is the fact that he is so relaxed. He is shirtless, barefoot, wearing blue swim shorts and his hair appears to be wet as if he had a swim in the ocean. I cannot remember the last time I saw Mark without a suit, not even to mention in swim shorts and without shoes. A thousand questions rush through my mind. Why did he lie to me? Is he alone? If I stay to keep an eye on him, I will be able to find out exactly what he is up to and who he is with.
Finally the waiter arrives with my lunch. I thank him and immediately redirect my attention to where Mark is waiting while grabbing a bunch of fries. A few moments later he finally reach the front of the line and I see him leaning into the ice cream truck. After paying the vendor, he is given two ice cream cones. Two? A part of me already knows why he bought two.
I follow him as he walk to what appears to be a woman laying on a beach towel, on her back, underneath an umbrella. I can't see her head as only her legs and feet are visible underneath the umbrella. When he arrives with the ice cream, she pulls herself up. I am not able to see who the woman is. I am only able to see her back but I am able to see her hair color, which is blonde. She takes the ice cream from him and he bends down and gives her a kiss on her lips. Wow. I can feel my blood boiling. Yes, I expected to find him with another woman at some point but seeing him so relaxed with someone else and physically kissing her is truly painful to watch. I feel so betrayed and hurt but at this very moment, the anger takes over.
I put the money I owe for the lunch on the table and walk out of the cafe. I didn't even finish my burger but I am ready to face this son-of-a-bitch. This is where everything comes to an end. I had enough.

I am walking across the beach to the side where they are sitting. As a approach them, I feel brave and empowered, thinking about everything he put me through the last 3 years. Today is the day I finally get to give Mark Johnson a fucking piece of my mind. I walk around the umbrella, getting ready to attack but as soon as I take a good look at the woman sitting with Mark, my whole world come crushing down on me.
