I woke up in front of a big black and gray castle when I looked to the left of me I saw a grass field with someone in it. I looked to the back of me and I saw a large cliff over a body of water, kinda like a beach. Then to the left of me, I saw a dark gloomy forest. I choose to explore the grassland. As I’m walking in the grass I see a woman with really short brown hair, she was wearing a pastel blue dress, she had cuts from her shoulders down to her ankles, and she was wearing blue sneakers. “Hey Miss, I’m new here. I don’t know where I am. Can you help me?” I told her.
“Oh, of course! But, I’m a boy.” He said. He didn’t have a really deep voice but I can tell that he is a boy.
Oh, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have assumed.” I apologized. He was a very pretty boy. He had blue eyes, he looked thirteen to fourteen.
“Don’t worry, you’re not the first. I’ve heard worse. I’m Timothy. This is an asylum/school for kids like us. All of us are deeply traumatized so we all need special care. There are other kids here too. We all have classes, dorms, and chores we have to do. We have two teachers who teach us two subjects for two hours, and we also have a gym. The gym teacher isn’t too bad, he’s also a looker.” He giggled. “You only get one chore a day unless you get in trouble because as a punishment they will give you more. This place may look beautiful but on the inside, it looks like a crusty old insane asylum.” He explained.
“Thank you, you’re so kind. I don’t have any memories of my past..” I said.
“Lucky, I still have PTSD from my childhood.” He said solemnly.
We said our goodbyes and I went to explore some more.
I went onto the cliff and I saw two men. One was leaning against a rock looking over the cliff. He had black hair, rusty emerald eyes, he had a long needle-like nose, he also wore a black hoodie, with black jeans, and he wore black and white tennis shoes. The other man had short black hair, he was very muscular. He looked like he had abs, He was tall, he was wearing a black T-shirt and ripped jeans. He made eye contact with me so I had to make haste with a conversation starter.
“Um, Hi I’m Leah. I’m new to the institution and I needed some help.” I told them nervously.
“Oh, I’m Samuel and this is Toby. Toby can be…. We will just say a needle in your side, sometimes but he means no harm. Everyone in this institute has good intentions to help you, so there is no need to fear anyone here. We rarely ever have incidents with people who turned out to have bad inti-”
“Holy shit!” I yelled, I didn’t mean to cut Samuel off, He stood up and he was nine feet tall! He looked like a giant! He gave me a disapproving confused look.
“I am so sorry, You just shocked me. I didn’t think you would be that tall.” I laughed.
“I know right? Like I don’t know what the hell they are feeding him but he is too damn big!” Toby laughed.
“May you both please stop with the profanity. It is very unprofessional and improper no matter my size.” Samuel lectured.
“Oh, and you're proper?” Toby snarled. I noticed he had some pretty sharp canine teeth.
“Please, don’t start. You’re arguing only makes you look foolish.” Samuel glared.
“Stop being an asshole, I am not a child, stop acting like my dad!” Toby protested.
“What dad?” He laughed in response.
Toby’s jaw dropped at his joke.
“That’s a low blow for someone whose dad is a stereotypical catholic p-” He stopped as Samuel gave him a piercing stare of anger. I never thought his icy blue eyes could be so terrifying and cold.
“Finish that sentence. Go on, I dare you.” He gave a smile while continuing the sharp stare. “Now must I remind you that there is someone new here with us and the last thing I want is to make her see how cruel I can be. So watch your mouth before I have to treat you as a child and have me put you in your place. Now I’m going to guide Leah to the building as a gentleman should, you should take notes.” He says as Toby presses his lips together and looks away. He seems irritated by being told off. Samuel then hooks arms with me.
“May I show you to the building m’lady?” He asks as he softens his eyes. I nod as we start to walk down the hill.
“Ignore him, he means well. We have been friends since we were ten years old. He can be very cunning and charming, he just needs the right person to bring it out of him.” Samuel said with a chuckle. All of a sudden I sensed that Toby has found the right person, Samuel just isn’t reading between the lines.
“You can be very scary when you stare someone down like that” I chuckle slightly while slightly in shock, I’ve never seen eyes so piercing but beautiful and memorizing.
“Yes I know, I’m sincerely sorry for his behavior and his profanity. He only acts up for attention. Hopefully, this place will cleanse him of his misbehaviors and sins.” He reassures me. We continue walking until we reach the large doors of the castle fence, right when we get two feet away from the door the doors open and I see two of the same men I saw in the void, same jumpsuit and everything.
“Well madam, here is your destination, I hope your travels are safe around the school.” He says with a gentle smile. We say our goodbyes and
