Yes, at the age I am at, I am afraid of the darkness. The darkness overwhelms me. I'm terrified of what may be lurking in the dark. I always look behind my back whenever I'm walking, and sprinting away from what is almost always nothing, which can be annoying sometimes. To make matters worse, I have sleep paralysis, which is where you are unable to move your body because you are consciously awake, but your body isn't. In my case, I have hallucinations of a dark figure approaching me, and sometimes I don't want to sleep at all. Although this is very common, it adds to my fear of the dark corners of my room. Some people may think this fear is childish, but it's most definitely not. People think that there's nothing to be scared of, but people like me aren't really scared of the dark. We're scared of what's inside it.
