How do we know what the human condition is?
Is it something we stumble upon, as we stumble over a rock?
Is it something we discover, as we discover a fossil in the ground?
Is it something we invent, as we invent gadgets?
Is it something we find, as we find a lost item?
Is it something we make, as we make desserts or dinner?
Is it something we learn, as we learn math or science?
Is it something we see, as we see but do not touch?
Is it something we hear, as we hear gossip and words?
Is it something we gift, as we gift happiness?
Is it something we take, as we take life?
Is it something we know, as we know right and wrong?
Or maybe it isn't anything we can put words to. So then, it is something we sense, as we sense feelings?
We do not like not knowing things. We crave answers, we crave simple explanations. But what if there is none? What if the human condition is simply...a question?
Is it something we can never know?
