After the confrontation in the brothel, Rohan, V, and Andrea gathered the working orc women and their families and teleported them back to the homeland of the orcs. Though some hesitated to leave the kingdom, the Servant assured them they’d be protected and treated justly under the rule of Chief Anders. For some, they knew that the homeland was still fertile and generously giving. It was enough for them to return and plan their farms. But Rohan left a mean surprise for Anders, and that was to let him handle the costs of dramatic healing for those whose bodies were significantly affected by the drugs and malnourishment. After that, one sector was left before healing the orc population and uniting them again. The pleasure sector was down; the next target was the military sector.
Later, at midnight, near the military compound.
Rohan spearheaded the two and strode uncaringly in the human district. The masses only gave him worried stares or furious ones because he brought an orc. V looked around and said, “Rohan, after we return the orcs to their homeland, what will we do with the humans?” “Our priority and responsibility are the moon’s creation; humans aren’t from them,” Rohan said. “They’ll rebel,” V said. “Let them, death will be their embracer,” Rohan said.
They arrived at the large gates of the compound and were confronted by guards. One approached and said, “State your business.” Rohan looked at him and said, “The unification of the moon’s creation.” He laughed, then said, “What are you? A Servant?” Rohan showed him the moon’s mark. He immediately bowed and said nervously, “Apologies, Servant!” Rohan looked at him and said, “Stand up, brother. The goddess wouldn’t be pleased to dishonor the proud orcs.”
The orc stood, looked at Rohan pleadingly and said, “Please meet our general. He was eager to meet you since you subdued the sun that day.” Rohan nodded and said, “Take me to him.”
Later, at the general’s office.
Rohan entered the office and saw the general in question, Erik. He wore heavy armor and a necklace that had a silver moon sigil. He had thick, braided hair and a long beard. His face was heavily scarred, and he had only his right eye.
Erik stood, placed his hand on his heart, and said, “Servant.” Rohan replied by doing the same and said, “General Erik.” They sat facing each other, and Erik leaned forward, placing his hands on his knees. Erik stared at Rohan and said, “Has the goddess truly blessed us by sending a Servant to us?” Rohan showed him the mark and said, “She has.” Erik began crying and muttered, “The long wait is finally over. I thought after Leth, we wouldn’t receive mercy.” Rohan pouted and said, “Take it easy, brother. The blood of Leth doesn’t fall on your hands.”
“We’ve directly attacked the goddess! She sent us mercy, and we spat at her face!!” Erik growled in frustration. Rohan stared at him in silence. Erik wiped his tears and snarled, “After Leth’s death. The faithful were torn apart. Orcs fought Orcs. Elves fought Elves. Outsiders conquered the Djinn! And the rest of the moon’s creation were enslaved by humans! If not killed and looted.” “I know, brother Erik,” Rohan said.
“Years I’ve wished for a chance of salvation. For years, I’ve waited for a chance to reunite my people. While waiting, my bones became brittle, my people were poisoned and enslaved, and all I could’ve done was act as the enemy’s puppet to save what was left of us,” Erik said.
Rohan leaned forward, held Erik’s knee and said, “I sense the hardships in your scars. They weren’t out of greed or wrath, but out of love.” He pointed at his empty eye socket and said, “You lost this when you protected a child from rabid beasts, didn’t you?” Erik nodded softly.
Rohan leaned back and said, “I am on a mission to unite the faithful, and I started my journey with the orcs. I’ve seen what the people suffered from in this kingdom and visited their dwellings in the slums.” Erik leaned forward, looked into his eyes, and said, “Then you know how bad it is.” Rohan smiled at him and said, “Yes, but no longer will they suffer. I’ve healed them with the moon’s blessings and sent them back to their homeland.” Erik’s face lit up and asked, “You mean… the slums are now empty!? My people regained their freedom?” Rohan nodded and said, “Yes, what remains of the orcs are your men.” Erik laughed, then broke down in tears while covering his face. Rohan smiled at him and said, “The suffering is over, Erik. Why are you crying?”
Erik looked at him and said, “I’m happy. I wished my father was alive to see and hear what I did.” Rohan stood and said, “Gather your men, General Erik. It’s time to return home.”
After that emotional meeting, the remaining orcs of the military sector gathered in the compound and passed through the portal one after another till there was none left. With all the gear, armor and weapons they could’ve carried. Andrea was also sent back among the warriors to oversee the affairs. The last hurdle remained for Rohan was to enter the royal palace and confront the king for his crimes against the orcs and the moon.
