As he climbed up the ladder to maintain the windmill, directly powering all his electricity, he let go, letting himself fall to the ground, 70 meters above the ground.
He falls, and his whole body splats on the floor, except for a brain contained within a green, mossy mush that bounces on impact, however still connected by green moss rope to the mushy mess of the mans body. Over the course of 5 minutes, the body completely re-morphs itself back to a near exact replica of the mans body, with slight imperfections, along with small parts of the skin replaced with the green moss.
"Maybe one day it will work." He says as he gets up to re-climb the ladder.
2 years prior
"Where's dad?" The young boy asks his mom.
"He is still at work, just running late. Give him some time."
"But, it's gonna be too late, and I want the surprise for him to be now!"
"Can you get out of the kitchen?" The mom says as she shoos the kid out of the kitchen.
The child leaves the kitchen to the living room, where the currently broadcasting channel switches to the news.
"As you can see, eastern countries communications have been going down all day, and this outage is slowly passing through Asia, which more and more communication lines going down. We will keep you updated until we learn the cause of these outages."

Towers in Europe are dying slower than the ones in Asia, so we have more information on the current issues. It seems that people are abandoning their communication towers, as it is not a problem with them being shut down, they are all still running. The mom slowly starts to walk back to the table with an ice cream cake, and asks, "What do you think is going on? It's your birthday, so I am trying to ignore it."
"Well, I was hearing about the start of this at the job site, as due to the rapid expansion of communication towers 'dying' in Asia, some workers were panicking and clocking out early. That's why I had to cover the wind turbine. personally, I don't think it will become an issue here, we have an ocean that separates us, but I would be lying if I said it wasn't concerning. My guess? it is an electrical outage problem, and the news is getting the issue wrong somehow." He says, as he eats his mashed potatoes while his wife cuts him a piece of cake.

As he sees both of his family members, the only people he truly cares about, he ponders shortly if he should let whatever is happening, take him as well. However, he wanted to live, for his family, for the people he could try and save, so he runs back into the kitchen, within 5 seconds before he is taken like his family. Whatever has taken everybody has 4 nerves that wire into the persons leg, which causes them to collapse, which, in a mere 1 second, shoots up into the eyes and the brain, immediately taking control of the host.
