“You’re sure you’re good?” Theo asked, his tone low, almost hesitant.
Zain took a deep breath, nodding. “Yeah. I’m good.” He flashed him a quick smile before looking down at his hands. “Thanks for everything tonight. For... well, for not being weird about it. About me.”
Theo shrugged, a small but sincere smile tugging at his lips. “There’s nothing to be weird about, Zain. You’re just you. And I like you... a lot.”
Zain’s heart skipped a beat at that, and for a moment, he didn’t know what to say. Instead, he just leaned over and kissed him again. It was soft, just the gentle press of lips, but it said everything.
When they pulled apart, Zain rested his forehead against Theo’s. “I’ll see you tomorrow?”
Theo smiled, brushing a lock of hair away from Zain’s face. “Yeah. Tomorrow. I’ll be right here.”
Zain slid out of the car, his heart still racing, but this time, it felt like everything was in the right place. He waved goodbye and headed for the front door, a little lighter than before.
But just as he was about to step inside, he turned back for a second.
Theo was still sitting in the car, watching him. Zain smiled to himself and went inside.9Please respect copyright.PENANAQCsMZKEQTS
